The only way I draft a QB period is if Cutler is not resigned.  I want Cutler resigned by the way, I think it is ludicrous to think other.  But this is an opinion board

Don't waste a draft pick on an developmental QB, not even in the late rounds.  Where are all those guys now?  Not playing in the NFL.  The Tom Brady lightning strikes come around every 100 years.  If your desire is to keep Cutler, you sign him to a 6 year deal and start thinking succession in year 4 when he is in his mid 30's

I think that was just Shanahan trying to cover his arse for benching RG3, saying he can now see what Cousins can do then they can trade him for a no 1 draft pick.

The best DT I've watched hands down is Tim Jernigan of Fla.St. All the others are inconsistent or too slow. Second round has to be a CB. That's where the value is and a definite need for this team. I'd be happiest with,in order, Kyle Fuller VT,Aaron Colvin OKL or Loucheiz Purifoy FLA.

I'm on board for best player available in the 3rd. (OL,DL,CB,QB.)

Give me Bryan Stork (C) Fla.St. in the 4th.

Fifth round I'd love to get Jalen Saunders (WR) Okla. Dangerous threat after the catch in the slot. Looks like this years Tavon Austin.

I'll be watching Jernigan closely in the title game. His lack of size scares me after the durability issues we've seen with Tommie Harris, Melton and Collins. Jernigan will be giving up 20-30 lbs every game against NFL OGs. That all being said, if he dominates against a very good Auburn OL in the biggest game of his career, that definitely has to be considered.

I havent really researched the safety class but that is such a desperate need for us I cant see us waiting till any lower than the 3rd round at that position. UNLESS Emery considers our safety issues to be equal parts talent AND leadership/experience, in which case he may make a play for a top tier S in FA.

I like the idea of a C in the 4th and a burner WR in the 5th. We also have an extra 6th from the Carimi trade to play with this year.
