I would definitely raise an eyebrow if we continued drafting small guys at DT. That formula has not been working for us. I also think it's a little risky projecting picks based on our scheme because the scheme has failed in epic fashion this year. The inherent weaknesses of a finesse based D that Lovie was able to mask with a crazy amount of takeaways, have emerged full-blown under Tucker. A radical scheme re-do is in order and that may require players with a different skill set than we are all used to.
That being said, this will be Emery's 2nd draft using his staff and his evaluation system, which seem a lot more legit than the dartboard approach Angelo took and have yielded us 4 starters this season (Bostic and Greene by default, but still). If he can find more Alshons and less McClellins production wise, then I guess the players' measurables are secondary.
