Injuries played a part for sure, but even when they were close to full strength the first few weeks of the season, this team still looked like it was playing with pre-season zombie-like  intensity. And that is on the coaches.......

Next year will be better for sure (hard to get much worse) but IMHO next year will be what THIS year should've been- a failure play-off wise but with solid glimpses of a brighter future.....

It's going to happen whether we like it or not.

Best thing to do is what to make of F.A. & the Draft.

 PEANUTS ... Gimme Two !!

 AND ... A pure kick returner.  :D

ALSO : Find out where Rusty Jones is and hire him back as :

 Strength & Conditioning Coach !

Yaah gotta start somewhere after 3-13 ...

It's year after year after year of futility JJ and I'm pretty sick and tired of it. I posted how lame we've been since 93'. 5 years in the playoffs! FIVE! In 24 %#@@# YEARS! Sick of it....and we're on a great streak now. What's it been, five six years or more?  >:( >:( >:(

I repeat : Yah can't go no where but up from 3-13!

Has any other team gone through 4 QB's from pre-season to end of season ?

Belichek couldn't make sense out of that since it never happened to him ever.

 Because he knows better.

But it happened to Fox. Which is on Fox.

You don't let your team be riddled with injury's unless you want to be out of a job.

Fox better find Rusty Jones ... or next year he's done.

Gase ... WHO ? We let that one walk to the Miami Playoffs.  >:(

I really didn't want to post this because it had the makings of reality and I didn't want to alarm posters here but I eventually succumbed. Read it and weep. Sorry if it seems too negative.

It's hard to say how much those guys made a difference.

The OL coach was disliked by the players which may be why he was replaced.  They also had the former all pro center Kevin Mawae on staff and it's possible he had a lot to do with Whitehair's success.

Nice Biggs article. Biggsie is skeptical the Bears can re-sign Jeffery. That's understandable. I am skeptical too, however with White's injury history I don't think the Bears can afford to let Jeffery walk. IMHO they need more receivers than they have. They should be in the market for receivers in the draft, UDFA, Canada, or the Arena League.

So why not transition tag Jeffrey and let him set his market?  Then, we have 7 days to match or he walks.  Then he gets what he is worth which should be less than Julio Jones money.

If he walks we likely get a 3rd round choice in 2018 for the loss of a FA.

I don't want to overpay him as I don't see him in the upper crust of the NFL, but he is in the top 15% - IMO.

No way I just let him walk away without a fight and no way does ne get a free unfetered ticket.  I don't think we should franchise him...

I like the transition tag idea.

I am not sure but after using the franchise tag last year I am unsure they can use the franchise tag
