Not sure how we managed a 4th in pass defense.
Aside from a stretch of 5 or 6 games when Porter was playing lights out our DB play was pretty lackluster. Our MLBs always seemed a step slow in their drops. And our safeties rarely came up with any big plays. Plus our pass rush was inconsistent with rarely any push coming from the front 3. Jarvis Jenkins had a few plays in the first half of the season but faded. Goldman did come on in the 2nd half though.
Trevathian and Hicks could be the biggest difference makers on defense.
