I've seen articles on the net calling Pace Payton's "personal assistant". Doesn't sound very gm-ish to me.  Hose out the whole barn right up to
anybody named McCaskey.  If only Muggs had made it a few more years.

I think Pace gets to pick his own coach, not who the "consultant" suggested.  Fox needed to change the atmosphere in the locker room, and get rid of the cancer.  Ala Brandon Marshall, and Jay Cutler to a lesser extent.  Plus we have been so devoid of talent, it is pathetic.  So Fox had the deck stacked against him.  It didnt help that he never had a decent OC.  I just hope our next HC is either an O guru and can mentor Trubisky, or can recognize we need one, unlike Fox or Lovie....

Offensive line did a decent job pass blocking but their run blocking was well...offensive.  But with 3 starters out and the 4th not playing his position it was expected going against the Vikings elite run defense.

Again too much pressure on Trubisky and the Trubiskettes to carry the load and they failed.  Inman ignored for several weeks is now featured.  The TE position is totally ignored.  And Cunningham is again snake bit running in that same right corner of the end zone (at least he didn't lose the ball reaching for the pileon this time).

One play that really pi$$ed me off was the pass to the fullback.  No one is going to cover him on a pass pattern and he beat his guy.  But then comes a TE right behind him bringing over another defender and Burton is stopped for no gain (just like his run the previous quarter).

And Trubisky never moves unless its a boot leg.  Nobody is open and he just stares down the receivers and throws it away or makes a pass that will never get caught.    Run!   Not saying he has to run downfield but move around and break down the defense.

Watch Keenum (and just about any other QB) move when there's nothing open and pressure is getting to them.

Must give Trubisky credit for not throwing any picks, but he kind of looks to mechanical to me.

I don't care about Fox, but the OC has to go.

Protected pick: The Bears retained the conditional 2018 seventh-round draft pick they offered the Chargers in the midseason trade for receiver Dontrelle Inman.

For the Chargers to have gotten the pick, Inman needed 25 receptions for the Bears, according to a person with knowledge of the trade. He finished with 23 in eight games after catching five passes Sunday for 94 yards.

By keeping the pick, the Bears have seven selections in next April’s draft — no third-rounder but two picks in the fourth round.

Inman crept toward triggering the condition Sunday as the Bears threw 24 times in the second half.
