Thats what I would do, but for whatever reason Nagy just isnt hip on Howard.

If traded Howard would only net a 4th or 5th and nothing higher unless somebody is desperate. Dreamers for a 2nd rounder need to visit Tatoo.

You're right about no 2nd rounder for Howard. Antonio Brown just went for a 3rd and 5th. Howard is probably worth a 5th.

Does that mean we over paid for Mack?

Article today in the today in the Chicago Tribune about how drafting a kicker rarely works. When the Rams drafted Greg Zuerlin they put him through all these tests to see how tough he was. 12 kickers have been drafted since the Rams drafted Zuerlin (6th round in 2012)and none have stayed with their original team.

No Mack, no playoffs or division title last year, IMO.
