Uh OH,looks like we could look to move down from 9:

I am leary of that idea. I sure wouldnt do it till we were on the clock. I want to see whats available to us @9 before trading down. I've heard Carter is dropping. I also hear rumors the

Bears are supposed to bring in Carter for an interview sometime.

I wonder if there has ever been a trade featuring draft picks only (not including 1-1) made before the start of the draft.  Why would the team moving up ever do that?

Will Carter be late for his interview because:

(a) He overslept.
(b) He got pulled over for doing 120 mph on the Dan Ryan.
(c) He got lost on the way to Halas Hall.
(d) Other.

I like this option - move down from 9 and move up from 53. Maybe the RT from Ohio State could be in play also.   Just got to find a team to dance with.

That guy is 100% not a scheme fit.

Harrison seems like a good option.  There wouldn't be as much pressure to play him at left tackle.

I would hope they just draft Johnson or Jones and be done with it.  The two are a toss up but both plug and play starters.  Who was the last franchise tackle John Tait?

If they draft Skoronski and he can’t play tackle I just don’t get it.

Since Covert, the only good LTs have been FAs.  Tait, Brockermeyer, Andy Heck,...and the 1st rounders were all pretty much failures:  Stan Thomas, Gabe Carimi, Marc Columbo, and the guy with the bad back...Williams?

You might be able to get cute and do a mini trade down and still get one of the 2 big OTs.  I think they are both rated about the same.  Then you get into the 2nd tier pretty fast in the last 1st round early 2nd.

Or maybe Poles has a sleeper RT that he's targeting later in the draft?

Yeah if both were available at 9 and the Jets or someone not far back wanted a trade for a third rounder Poles would still get one or the other

Maybe.  A 3rd rounder would be nice but I wouldn't mind if the Bears use that value and trade up one of their 2 second round picks.

From what I hear there's good value in the early 2nd round especially at the positions the Bears need.  Again, need a motivated dance partner.
