Because JJ demands it.

Have at it.  We have no first round pick again.

No 4 or 7 either... so the team has a paltry 5 picks. 2,3,5,5,6.

I hate Pace.

If Fields can become a top QB - giving up the 2022 first rounder is worth it.

Yeah, I am not happy with the college QB class this draft. I think we made the right decision to go for a QB last year. Now if we can just develop him and surround him with enough talent to succeed

I have not been as jacked up with a quarterback ever as much as I am with Josh Fields. I think that he just has an intangible about him in that he doesn't get rattled. He makes some bad mistakes but he doesn't let it bother him which I think is huge. He'll learn and they need to build around him accordingly including a head coach and offensive coordinator who can best fit his talents.

Shiit dudes I didn't know we only had five picks.

This tightens the gonads up a bit ...

I'd play it two gaurds two WR's in whatever order.

Now what to do with that all importent fifth pick ... hmmmmmmmm ... :)

We will most likely need a 3rd string WR to develop behind Fields and Foles.  Dalton is a gonner.  Foles maybe too if they get offered anything for him.  We might need 2 QB's????

Pace paid the price to go get Fields, and we hope he is the right choice.  I would agree, he has shown traits that we haven't seen here.  Watching Tua on Monday night, I liked how often he went short on early downs, take the 5 yards they are giving you.  Keep 2nd and 3rd down more manageable, and make the defense defend the whole field.  It also helped Tua a lot having a true number 1 receiver.  Mooney is a nice 2/3 receiver.  At this stage he is not a Diggs or Thielen - players I think he more closely resembles.  You get him that true number 1, and it dictates coverage.

Use Kmet more, we saw what Foles did with him.  I was on the side that it was okay to let Olsen go several years ago.  He fumbled too much, he was okay.  How wrong was I?  He developed and matured and became an all pro in Carolina.  Kmet is still 21 I believe, his best football is ahead of him.

The difference is Tua had receivers open short while Bear receivers have coverage all over them defending short passes.  I was amazed a couple of weeks ago in the red zone Montgomery caught a pass at about the two and was double covered!  Really since when is an outlet receiver double covered?  Only the Bears.

Rodgers does the same thing.  He's constantly throwing sideways and then every once in a while goes for the deep one down the sideline or a long one over the middle.

Mooney definitely needs help - that guy could have been A-Rob but for various reasons it didn't work out this year.

The Bears have under utilized the TE position most of the season - especially in the red zone.  For once I'd like see Kmet catch something in stride.  Most of his patterns are hooks or outs - a few slants and hardly ever anything down the field.

I assume so but you would have to see the whole field to know what’s going on , not the television shots.

The new regime can’t come fast enough.
