I can't believe Cashner has only thrown 100 innings once in his career.  His home/away splits are pretty ugly and out of Petco he might be more of a mid-three guy, which isn't bad.  He is made of glass though.

Watcha and Garcia to the DL with shoulder issues.  Pitchers, I tell you.

Twitter rumor: Cashner scratched from his start tomorrow.  Stay far away from him.

Personally, if they're completely tearing down, I'd like to see the Cubs make an offer for Tyson Ross.

I doubt Ross would be available. He's still making peanuts and is under control for a long time - that's not an asset a tear down team trades away, normally.

The thing I'm curious to see is if the Cubs snatch up Byrnes.

I'll be shocked if he isn't a Special Assistant to Somebody.  The guy I'm curious about is Hinch, if he doesn't get the GM job does he move on?

Well, if they follow the great plan made famous by the Cubs, they might as well trade him now.  He's a 27 year old with top of the rotation stuff and 3 1/2 years left until free agency.  That's what Jeff Samardzija was two years ago at this time.

It's too bad Seth Smith doesn't make more, because I'd love to snag him for a song.

Cashner to the DL with shoulder soreness.

Apparently, the Padres are interested in bringing back Towers to be their GM.  I guess they like the job he did in Arizona.

Aaron Nola doing his best Mark Appel imitation in his debut.  3 innings 5 runs, 4 ER.

Pirates outright Jose Tabata to AAA.  He can become a free agent, but he'd lose the $10 million left on his contract through 2016.  That's unlikely.

Well, he does bring their average age down quite a bit...

Adrian Beltre just picked up his 2,500th hit.  He'll be a real interesting Hall of Fame case...he's going to be close to a slam dunk for stats guys, but he's not going to "feel like" a Hall of Famer to more traditional voters.

Also, this Dallas Morning News article speculates that the Rangers could consider trading anyone, including Darvish: http://www.dallasnews.com/sports/texas-rangers/headlines/20140623-rangers-explore-trade-landscape-for-core-type-players-what-market-is-elvis-andrus-adrian-beltre-yu-darvish-more.ece

I can't even wrap my head around what Darvish would cost in a trade.
