I went 7 months without it when I got laid off last year. I don't watch as much as I used since I got it back.  Most of my TV time involves sports and cartoons. It's a great feeling to be able to watch a ball game with my son.

I just need a few channels, MLB network is one.  My wife watches very little tv and doesn't want to spend the money for me to get it so no cable anymore. She may crack in the fall.

Pretty chippy attitudes in Toronto as well as in Cinncy.

Brandon Moss with a walk off homer for the Cardinals.  All you have to do to become a good major leaguer is to put on a Cardinals uniform...

Can't wait for the reaction here when Edwin Jackson's performance turns 180 degrees when he puts on a St. Louis Cardinals uniform again.

Nobody here will be shocked.

If there is extra money in the budget, there are a ton of interesting Cubans that are on the market.

Just to hijack this from another topic as a jumping off point -- With diplomatic relations now formally open between Cuba and the U.S., has anyone heard any discussion of MLB expanding to add a team there?  Or even for an minor league teams to be added there with formal ties to major league teams?

Sounds like AJ Burnett's career might be done. That will weaken the Pirates rotation some more.

Didn't EJax suck the last time he pitched for Cardinals?  Never mind I was thinking of when he was with the Dbacks.

Mets beat the Nationals, and they're tied for the NL East lead.

Matt Williams is bad at managing. It is also a lesson that when you have a chance for the playoffs counting on next year isn't a great idea.

And how many examples are needed to understand to understand the problems of assuming you will make the playoffs if you trade the future in order to make the playoffs in the present?

There is a wide area between what the Nationals did and mortgaging the future. You can actually improve a team without doing that.
