Changes 2022

-Post transaction here and then perform them on Fantrax. Make sure they are labeled so we can credit back any moves that aren’t add/drops
-Waivers start on the day of call up.  Conforto will require waivers when he joins the 25 man roster. Make claims on Fantrax
-if you can’t perform something let me or Boris know.
-Questions concerns should go to Boris or myself. Curt is in an advisory role
- Include any draft picks in trades. To add players or picks to trades you have to click the green button.
-Watch your relief pitchers for starts. How we deal with pitchers in the future is up for active debate.
-Minor leaguers that are dropped will disappear from the pool. Please don’t do it on accident.
-Rosters lock 1 minute prior to the first game.  Any moves after that game will be for the next day.

Gore has been sent to the minors.  How long?  Don't know.

Sending Gore to minors, moving Ohtani to SP, picking up Albert Pujols at UT.  Designating Sanchez for assignment.  I have 7 days before I have to drop him or do something with someone else?

Pujols?!! Now wait just a dag blamed bloody minute!  Who's been making fun of whom for taking old, beat up nursing home guys?

JR, guess who goes to your nursing home when Ohtani swings back to hitting side?

Why would you send Pujols back to the nursing home when he's probably now at least the fourth or fifth best player on the entire Red Hornets roster?

DDKs place Moncada on the IL, move Ibanez to 3B and call up Julio Rodriguez to the big show.

Owners, give Joe and Boris time to straighten out kinks, fix problems, and correct errors.  We all knew that going to another platform could be fraught with terror.  Fantrax seems to think that every pitcher is both an SP and an RP.  It's a tough one.  The game is changing.  We have Openers now; relievers who pitch the first couple innings.  We have spot starters who really are never in the rotation.  We have guys back from TJS or other injuries who move to the pen for awhile.  I know Joe and Boris will do their best to be fair and listen to your appeals.  Another area that might get touchy is waivers.  Keep an eye on your waivers.  Fantrax may charge you with a waiver for things we don't waivers charged for, like moving a guy off the IL to active.   Keep a written record of the times you think you got scrued and turn it into one of the guys within a few days so they can look at it and fix it.

Our draft this year was different and I think the guys did a great job.  I especially thank the Aussie crew for doing their utmost to be ready to pick.  I congratulate JR on his effort to overcome ageism in his hiring.  I congratulate tico for constantly taking other people's "next on my list."

Have a good year everybody.  And Matt, be careful who you deal with.

Every move on Fantrax will move down the waiver claim. I will adjust the number to the correct number. I know when I did the shadow league it didn’t prevent me making moves as a commissioner if the number went negative, I’m not sure about owners. Moves can be back dated.

One of the frustrations I always had was getting moves done in a timely manner on CBS.  Curt did an amazing job, but it is a lot of work. It is really hard to keep up if it is only 1-2 people making moves.

We want to keep the league going, but that is going to mean things have to get automated. The rules are complicated so just give us time.

I started a a Winter Meeting topic since we really did any time to have one this year and with the lock out. I think one of the brightest topics is how we deal with pitchers going forward.  When this league was started pitcher roles where clearly defined. Starters where starters. Relievers where relievers and closers where closers. Now unless you are an ace starter or old school closer roles are less well defined. We need to come up with a better way to deal with pitchers.  Either through scoring, definitions, caps or how we list them on the team. So please bring your ideas to that topic.

Thanks CBJ and Boris!  And thanks CBJ for running the draft...definitely know that wasn't easy!

The Brats take their first small steps towards the 2022 Smurf Cup and have released Jorge Alcala and signed Dylan Coleman.

By the way, I just figured out "RA" in the Live Scoring means "Relief Appearance", not "Run Allowed".

I might not have done that transaction if I'd known that, but then again Alcala pitching in the 7th inning doesn't make it seem promising that he's the closer replacement for the Twins.

Yeah that isn’t a box score, it is for fantasy points.  It will have a negative sign in front of bad point values.
