this might be the worst Cub team in a long time... 100 losses are pretty much guaranteed

I'd like to know who was going to guarantee that one, because I would be happy to take the under on it.

Anyone wanting to make an even money bet on whether the Cubs will have 100 or more regular season losses in 2014?

If so, just let me know.  I will be more than happy to take your money... or steak dinners... or White Castle sliders.

You can get 'em here in the wal mart freezer.  Not sure if that puts us in civilization or in the savage lands.

I have moved my response to the Bleachers section.

Heh, I just checked Mooney's page to see what his articles for the last several days might include.  Well, there's one starting off with Samardz and how he might be gone before Baez and bryant arrive.

Good for you.  It's one of the three questions asked to determine your longevity.  Do you smoke?  Do you drink?  Do you eat White Castle burgers?

Barney is going to get some time at SS along with Bonafacio.  If Barney can be a plus defender at SS that would help his trade value a lot.

BP ranked teams on their top talent under 25.

The Cubs ranked #10.  Of the top 10 teams only the Nationals #2, Pirates #4 and Cubs had less than 5 major league players on their list.

Well most of there guys are pitchers so at least some of them will end up injured.  With the Cardinals luck they'll come back throwing 110 mph.

Bill Buckner retired as the Boise hitting coach.
