Where is Arizona Phil writing since the Cubs reporter went under?

Cub Reporter is still working.

But, my bookmark of site went dead couple weeks ago. Got to site again by lower-listed google cubreporter listings. No clue why that worked or why old bookmarks went dead. But, it's still there.

I think it is possible that Schwarber is the catcher and Montero gets traded. Frees up a fair amount of money.

Inciarte might be a short term option, but dealing with Stewart/LaRussa might be difficult. Austin Jackson might be an interesting bounce back guy. His power might return outside of Seattle. His defense is above average this year by UZR/150, I'm not sure if that is noise or real. I'd kinda like to think Happ would be able to play CF soon.

I love the idea of Carrasco, but I might have a heart attack with the package it requires.

Good to see Rizzo finding his stroke after losing it during the All Star break. If Bryant can find his things that would be even better.

To get a Ross/Carrasco type guy, think will need really good showing by Baez going forward or a very significant uptick from Castro. Will need a valuable SS to shop for a guy like that.

Think possible could move both in off-season and fill 2B with either FAs Kendrick or Zobrist. Think that's quite possible to balance out all the kids in lineup.

It is more likely that photos will surface of Theo having sex with a goat than it is that the Cubs trade both Castro and Baez before opening day 2016.

Yeah, possible Schwarber is primary catcher in 2016. But, he is so raw at catcher mechanically. And, I worry that kind of responsibility this early is going to affect his offense. Guess we'll learn some about that when Montero returns this week. Also might be difficult to trade Montero at his 2016/17 salaries.

Schwarber seems super-enthusiastic about handling pitching staff. Not sure how much, if any, pitch-calling he's doing but Rondon seemed annoyed today with what Schwarber was wig-wagging out there for him to throw. Also possible that Schwarver will be brutal in LF and that catcher is best position defensively. Think we'll get some clues about that going forward this season.

He is still there, so it must not be completely under.

Huh.  I've got an error 503 the last couple times I've tried to check it.

Weird my bookmark and Google return an error 503. Your link does not.
