Who's the GM of this board!?

Somebody once said that a long time ago.  LOL

Pace has got balls...huge move.   Sorry we didn't get that strong safety that's going to turn this franchise around or Jonathan Allen...did he get drafted yet?  Or that cornerback that didn't even go top 10.

What does Brian Hoyer and Mike Glennon and Sanchez and Matt Barkley all have in common?  They are all losing QBs that may get you to .500.  And most of you just accepted another loser like Glennon like he's something special.

I didn't. And neither did Pace.

Get some balls...take a chance.  I like Pace's move.

 Dal,

We should have never hired Glennon ...

we should have never drafted Trubisky.

One fuuck up stacked on another fuuck up does not a good team make.

I like Pace's move.

He should be fired. We get an Osweiler at #2? Good Grief. My mother could have drafted better from her coffin. I'll say this if Trubitsky is so good he should start game one in September, If not Pace should be fired. He either has wasted 19 million on Glennon, or he has wasted the #2 pick in the draft, which is it?

Wshful

Have you ever f***ing watched Trubisky play a game?  I doubt it.  You just read sh**t on the web and come up with your same tired whining.

Huge rumor yesterday was Browns taking Tribusky at #1.   So its not some rectal extraction.

And if you looked at Trubisky's grade, he was higher than #1 Jameis Winston, #2 Marcus Mariota, #1 Jared Goff #2 Carson Wentz.

Now go out and buy yourself a Trubisky jersey...

Yep, the Bears gave up the farm...#3 and #4.

Last year that would have been Jonathon Bullard and Nick Kiwatosoki.

And do you really think Glennon is going to last the entire season?   We lost 3 QBs last year before Barkley took over.   Trubisky will play next year.

30 years of no QB's and everybody **** there pants when we get the best one available.

I wouldn't have done it either but now that it's done I'm pulling for the guy.  He has uncanny accuracy.  I've heard very little criticism on his game other than he hasn't played enough to really know him.

Like Kurt Warner said "you're not going to win without a quarterback....go get one."

Cam Robinson, Dalvin Cook, Forrest Lamp still on the board.  That gives us a good chance for the two or 3 good corners left, or Budda Baker the safety, or Marcus Maye.

NFLN said GB who has the first pick is getting calls from teams wanting to move up for Davis Webb and Deshone Kizer.

Pace will be left with a tough choice.  Several projected first rounders available.

Maybe the QB's get taken and someone wanting Forrest Lamp or Dalvin Cook will trade and give us our third back.

Actually I did, 2 to be exact. Was I impressed? NO. I call him lucky and he had decent teamates in a weak conference. And I fail to see where these numbers you tout that he is the best. Another crack of yours, If Trubisky is so great why were Pace and the Bears given a C- grade for their pick? And will Glennon last the season? Thats hard to say. Nobody can predict that, not even you with your cristal ball. What is going to hurt Glennon the most is his crappy receivers. And even were Glennon injured we have Sanchez as a backup. And for your information Trubisky might not even be active for any game beings he will be 3rd string. If Long is healthy I believe that chances of Glennon staying healthy for the season are good.

I won't have a problem with this if we trade down in the 2nd round and recoup at least one of those mid-round picks. There's a lot of secondary talent left. Defensive talent in general is still really good. Kevin King, Budda Baker, Jaleel Johnson are 3 at the top of my list.

Chris Burke of SI gave the Bears a D for trading 3 mid-round picks to get the highest-graded QB in the draft and gave KC a B+ for giving up higher draft picks to move up and take a guy with a lower grade out of a system that has never produced a decent QB. So the talking heads obviously don't have a clue.

We haven't gone first round since Grossman. Don't know that we've ever gone QB this high. He doesn't have to start right away and his pedigree is pretty good. Just a lack of games at college level, which, given the differences between the college and Pro games, might not be an awful thing.

Admit I was hoping for Adams, but then you're looking at Peterman or Kaaya in round 2. Let's see what shakes out. I like the depth chart at QB better than the past though.

Go check nfl.com for their combine grades on the 5 QBs.  Trubisky's grade is right there with every single one.

As for receivers, the Bears let Jeffery walk.  Stupid.  But that's another story.

Every QB gets sacked.  Bears line  last year was pretty good protecting the QB yet Cutler and Hoyer went down.
And Longs replacement was Ok - most QB pressure comes from the tackles.

I have no idea whether Trubisky is going to excel he's definitely an unknown but  Glennon is a known quantity.

Packers have the first pick in the second round.

Last night Ian Rappaport, who was right on a lot of things, said a Packers source told him teams were calling them about a trade up for Kizer and Webb.

That would be to the Bears advantage because if two QB's are picked before the Bears players like Dalvin Cook (who some felt was the best back) Cam Robinson, Forrest Lamp, Budda Baker are players with first round projections would be available.

I've seen mocks from reputable NFL people who had the UConn safety at the end of the first round.

From a pure need standpoint I think we need to target 3 spots with picks 2, 4, 5.
FS CB DE

We have added Demps and Deiondre Hall along with the incumbents from last year including last years rooks Bush and Houston-Carson.

At CB we added Cooper and Amukamura and BW Webb.  Plus Fuller should be ready hopefully.  And there's Banks and Bausby.

DE opposite Hicks is Unrein and Bullard.  We lost Corny Washington to the Lions.

So do you take ONE stud at 36 or do you drop down and add a 4th rounder?
