If Tice knows his shiiit he may just have what he already needs with Herman Johnson.

Hence : The lack of a push for OL in the third.

Then it moves on to Darryl Drake and what can he find in FA at WR.

Remember : Drake had zero input into the draft in the last two years.

He has to be tossed a bone somwhere to keep his credibility.

I have to agree here.

Let's pretend Bears can sign either Logan Mankins or Sidney Rice.

I take Rice.

Hmmm! If I had one choice Mankins or Rice it would be Mankins over Rice because better protection on that line gives Cutler more time to get the ball to one of the existing receivers. TYVM

Moot point as no free agency yet...  :(  Nice job owners and players, way to suck the excitement out of the off season

We were talking about a theoretical choice. We all know the labor agreement has expired.

Typically right after the draft teams try to sign players that werent drafted to fill TC spots and ST spots but they cant even do that which is very depressing.

So true.  I mean, this time of year is traditionally kind of slow for NFL news but this year the "meh factor" is at an all-time high. My co-worker and I usually talked about the draft for weeks leading up to it and this year we hardly discussed it at all... before or since. Even PFT is sucking wind to find content these days.

It also doesn't help that seemingly a day doesn't go by that some NFL player isn't in the news for something legally releted or just acting like a general tool. Lot of people I talk to seem to think going a year without a six- (or seven) digit salary might not be a bad thing to slap some of these thugs back into reality.  Unfortunately there are a lot of five-figure grunts who don't play the game who would have tremendous hardship in the event the 2011 season doesn't happen.

I've been reading where there are players out of money NOW.  How can that be? Don't they structure the contracts to  get pd year round? Didn't they think this could happen when the owners opted out? Saw where somebody else got arrested. This is going the way of boxing. I'm not going to watch if this keeps up. I mean it. I haven't watched a baseball game in forever, I can do the same for these clowns.

I'll watch as long as it is structured with a salary cap and a salary floor.  Any semblance to baseball and it won't ever hold the same interest for me.

what is bad is if the players get what they want, to disban the league, the top guys in the league will make more money and the guys at the bottom less. Someone is selling these dudes bad weed or something,.

Exactly if the players win you will have 5% of the players making 90% of the money.  The majority of the players will make less then they do now and have less benefits.
