I wonder what happened to Berrian, the arrow was pointing up when he left here and I think his first year in Mn.
Angelo called that one Briggs >> Berrian.

Berrian torched us for that 99-yarder in the dome, but after that game he was pretty much not seen from again.

Low production + questionable clubhouse presence + high salary...  all in a rebuilding year with the HC feeling the heat = midseason cut.

Kind of  like Freeman for GB.  One year playing great, the next year done for.

Always overlooked ... always forgotten ... the secret ANCHOR ... Patrick Mannelly.  ;D

Enters his 14th NFL season all with the Bears and holds the franchise record for career games played in Chicago (205)...

Stands as the second-longest tenured player among active NFL long snappers with their current club...

His 137 straight regular season games played leads all current Bears...

Stands alongside Olin Kreutz as Chicago's longest tenured players with 13 NFL seasons under their belts...

Has handled the snapping duties in all but three games during his NFL career...

Contributed to Bears setting an NFL record for most consecutive unblocked punts (920) and games without a blocked punt (180) that covered 13 years and was snapped in 2003...

Snapped every punt and kick (PAT and FG) attempt for Chicago from 1998-2000 and 2003-10...

Has played in all 16 games 11 times in his career while pulling the trigger on 1,900-of-1,920 long-snap attempts during that time...

One of the league's top coverage long snappers, notching 77 career special teams tackles, fourth-most by a Bear since 1995 (Brendon Ayanbadejo, 79; Corey Graham, 82; Adrian Peterson, 110).

I still think our long snapper needs to have another job.

Sure it would be nice if our long snapper could give us solid sub play on the OL as well...  but I know of very few teams where that's the case.

Our offense is so dependent on FGs that I'll take a rock steady long snapper like Mannelly even if he doesn't contribute anywhere else.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/11/07/chris-cook-remains-on-vikings-roster-but-wont-practice-or-play/

So...  this guy is facing a felony conviction, but the Vikings are continuing to pay him even though he's not practicing or playing.

I would be very interested to know their rationale for this as it seems like Cook comes out on the sweet end of the deal.

Seems to me, with the whole stadium issue pending and all, that the Vikings would have been much better served from a PR perspective to drop the hammer on this scumbag...  suspension without pay for the maximum number of games allowed.  But what do I know?

Team is in the tank, owner doesn't live in Minny, stadium is more and more looking like a current day Roman Coliseum, no money for a new one, do I hear semis warming up to move the mighty vikings elsewhere?  Its happened before.

The Minnydump isn't really that bad. Been there a couple times for games. It's nice inside the stadium part, the concourse needs help. But it doesn't hold a candle to Indys dome. THAT place is totally sweet....will be a great place for the Super Bowl.

Guys, wake me when I'm done dreaming here.....

What if....the Bears get on a real roll, take GB or get a wildcard spot..... yes....and go all the way. ALL...the way. Win it all. IN Indy....the same team they lost to in 06'......wouldn't that just be the monkeys uncle!
