Teach him to throw?  Didn't he win 2 national championships as a QB?

He took a 1-4 team this past season to the playoffs (7-3 record).

Didn't he throw a game winning TD in OT against the Steelers?  Perfect pass too!  He also threw for 316 yards by the way.

He threw for 206 yards against the Vikings while putting up 35 points.

He threw for 308 yards against the Texans in their back yard back in 2010 and won the game coming from behind.

Sure he's had bad games but his passing isn't horrid.

I think the Broncos just played ultra conservative with him at QB because he's not the typical drop back passer.  He's also a running QB and that dimension is something Fox didn't know how to deal with.

If he goes to another team that really wants him at QB instead of fullback if given a chance to play I feel he'll be a much better passer if given talent around him and a coaching staff that believes in him.

Theyre gonna shoot his ass down Phil ... he doesnt fit the ... "system". Nevermind what he does.

His completion percentage is less then 50%.

Is that his fault ... or once again ... the "system"?

Let him go to Jacksonville and let him have his way.  :D

Of course if Elway kept him at Denver and let Manning train him for 3 years he would be the heads up

to takeover once Manning retired. ;D

The most impotant need for a QB is the ability of make the quick read.  You can't treach that and he was not born with it.  Lots of QBs washed out for the lack of that inherent ability.

1-4 down the stretch, the league had film on him.  But he's big, young, smart, and burns to win. He'll do well no matter where he is.

the thing with Tebow is even if he can make the quick read, he can't make the quick throw because of his throwing motion.
He has such a slow release the WR has to be pretty open for him to make the throw else the D has time to react.

Only reason Broncos beat the Bears was that knucklehead Barbour ran out of bounds... :(

I was gonna say, as I recall the Broncos game was pretty much the only one of those last 5 losses that couldn't really be blamed on our QB.

start at about page 130 of Today's Game...

Tebow was 8-23 for 106 yards and a pick the first 56 minutes of the game.

The Vikings went to the SB with Joe Kapp at QB ---- and a helluva defense.  Denver had very good defense and no QB, too.

Cutler lost that game for the Bears....plain and simple. His not being in there made the difference. Had he played, it would have been lopsided towards Bears.....Denver can thank Cut for being injured. That's game....

Technically Denver can thank Knox.  If Knox doesn't slip against the Chargers, Cutty doesn't throw the pick which resulted in the tackle that broke his thumb.

But considering Knox' current situation I'm not inclined to pile-on.

Man Knox is blamed for slipping on a bad field.

Folks will blame him for slipping on a ice covered field too.
