Saints put on a show ... but lost at Lambeau.

Notice how they have to keep relying on fake punt BS to keep drives going? Teams are going to start keying on that nonsense and the losses will start coming....

Vikings in the NFC-N lead...  who 'da thunk it?

Hope the Bears can keep pace tonight but I don't have a good feeling about it.  The Bears do not play well in primetime games on the road and the Cowboys have enough firepower to put it to ya if you don't bring your best game against them.

On paper the Cowboys certainly do have the weapons on offense.  But they've only scored 47 points in 3 games.  They looked good in the opener against the Giants but its been downhill since.

Bears offense has sputtered too but the team has scored 74 points (minus 7 for the Wright defensive TD).

True, however 41 of those points were in the first game which means in the last two games the Bears offense has averaged only 13 pts a game.

(74 minus 41 minus the defensive 7 = 26 / 2)

Even with the defense playing as well as it has been, we need more from Cutler & Co. than that.

...Even with the regular officials back, the Packers were on the short end of another questionable call after being robbed of a win on a botched call by the replacement referees Monday night. It didn't cost them, however, because Garrett Hartley missed a 48-yard field goal after a holding penalty wiped out his go-ahead, 43-yarder.

The questionable call came after Rodgers' go-ahead, 11-touchdown pass to Nelson with seven minutes to play. Replays clearly showed that Darren Sproles fumbled the ensuing kickoff and Green Bay appeared to recover. The officials ruled Sproles was down by contact, but Green Bay was out of challenges...

It's not the officials fault that McCarthy ran out of challenges. He made a stupid challenge early in the game.

Last year didn't the Bears beat the Eagles on the road on a Monday night?

That's correct, and of course there was also the win we notched against the Vikings at Minnesota (where Wootten ended Favre's career).

It's just that when we play bad in primetime, we play really really bad. So maybe the primetime losses stick in my mind more than the wins. In any event, I don't trust this team when they're playing on the big stage just yet.

Isn't Lovie something like 7-2 in Monday night games? I thought I heard that stat somewhere but could be mistaken.

Yeah, McCarthy challenged a pass that hit the ground.  The official went under his little tepee and called it a completed pass for NO, anyway.  Sometimes even a challenge doesn't create justice.

I think he is talking about the first one where everyone knew it was a wasted challenge.

There were some calls that didnt go for the Pack like normal, I wonder if the refs were kind of like no more complaining like after the last game.  Just saying.
