It generally only takes one guy in a unit to be special and have leadership abilities to set the tone for everyone else.

If he has a good year he will be making 15-20 million a year so he can afford it.  If he doesn't he will probably not be a Bear next year.

Everyone including the media seems to be enjoying kicking Webb while he's down, but I was hoping that the kid could have stuck with the team.  Webb, who was thrust into the starting lineup as a rookie before he was ready and was flip flopped between 2 tackle positions struggled with consistency through most of his 44 NFL starts.

I thought his play significantly improved over the 2nd half of the season but the new coaching staff saw what they saw in training camp and Webb was released.

I think Scott is a quality right tackle and was impressed with his play last season.  But I have some concerns.  First, is he healthy now.  He has a history of durability issues his entire career.  Secondly, has he ever played LT in the pros?   And he is 30, and that's not a big deal since he is not being considered as a starter long term.

I view Ebben Britten as a guard and emergency tackle - hopefully the Bears are not projecting his as the swing tackle.

I wonder why the holdup with announcing the last 3 cuts?

Possibly Emery waiting as long as possible to see who gets let go elsewhere?

JT Thomas is one of the final 3 cuts.

Surprises me that both he and Franklin were let go. Guess they are going with only 6 at LB and Costanzo is more ST than LB.
