Lester finally gets a call off the plate to put away Wainwright.

Lester isn't very sharp.  Maybe they should've held him back for a start or two.  2-0 Cardinals.

Another leadoff double.  Can they capitalize?

ESPN must do research on these announcers, and someone must like John Kruk.  I just haven't found anyone who will admit it.

These national jobs must pay a lot less than team jobs.  Otherwise, you'd think guys like Len and JD would be on national broadcasts.

How about Lester's first career hit right here?

So, what, 0-6 with RISP through two?

Yep, the season's underway.

ESPN announcers criticizing Castro on a play he had no chance to make.  No mention of the fact that Coghlan has no range, and it was definitely more his ball than Castro's.

I used to think that the Astros had the worst announcers in baseball, followed closely by the Reds and Cardinals, but these guys on ESPN beat them all.

Another bad call by the home plate ump against the Cubs.

Not sure Soler swings at that last pitch if not for the ridiculous strike zone tonight.

It's about time for another umpire strike that ends with MLB eliminating about 2/3 of them.

at the very least the ESPN guys are going on about the terrible strike zone.
