They've dropped Heyward's hands down pre-swing but the rest of the swing looks pretty much the same to me. Not sure that's going to improve things.

I was just replying to people. Did 't even look at the thread.

No doubt you didn't look at the thread, but yours was the first post in the Postseason Edition thread to mention anything happening in today's game:

Pierce Johnson with a perfect inning.  I'm pretty interested to see how he might do in relief, if he can stay healthy.  Might be a pleasant surprise this year.

He mentioned in an interview that Bosio suggested an adjustment that he says has really helped him and has clicked.  And said he's liked relief, not pacing himself.  (He didn't say it, but I assume not trying to mix in inferior 3rd and 4th pitches must also be a factor.)

Will be fun to see how he can do.

Alec Mills makes Cubs spring debut, gives up pair of singles to start then: FO2, 3-1, P9 to end frame. Cubs high on him for SP depth

John Arguello‏ @CubsDen  4m4 minutes ago
Alec Mills was 91-93 mph with FB I. First

Caleb Smith 93-94, t95 so far.  Chris Cron just took him downtown

I thought Mills looked pretty solid after he settled in.

Seems to be some sentiment Addy is primed for a big year.

Barring some serious injury or unanticipated regression from a position player, if Russell has the kind of improvement he and the team seem to expect, Baez has reasonable improvement at the plate, Schwarber is available for a full season without a serious decline from what he did in 2015, and Heyward comes close to resembling the pre-2016 Heyward, the 2017 Cubs could be a major offensive force.
