Caratini is coming off the bench to hit. He's the last Cubs position player.

Hendricks probably pitches if this game goes to the 12th. We might be looking at Montgomery in game 1 of the LDS if they don't win here but somehow still advance.

Justin Wilson apparently coming in. This isn't great. What's left of Carlos Gonzalez is due first, then Butera and McMahon. So it's not a great part of the lineup for the Rockies if Wilson can just throw strikes.

Or maybe Hendricks was warming for everyone after Gonzalez. Here he comes after Wilson gets a weak grounder.

I agree, and have been waiting for the broadcasters to mention that.  The fielder has no more right to put his hand on the runner than the runner has to put it on the fielder.  He obviously had no intention, or even thought of throwing to first or second base.

Montgomery would actually be on short rest if the Cubs are still playing Thursday...so maybe Alec Mills goes in game 1 if they get there? Or a bullpen game?
