Same game.

If Baez ever reaches the kind of offensive potential many hope for him (.290/.350/.500 -- regular OPS of .850-.900), the guy should be a HOF lock.  His glove is absolutely amazing.  It would be nice to see the Cubs lock him in long-term soon.

Is the game on TV today. The schedule says Cub's.com but I can't find it.

The weight loss is really paying off for Schwarber.  He already leads the team in stolen bases.

As I just wrote that, he just stole stole third base, for his second stolen base of the inning.

Maybe a precursor of him leading off vs. RHP?

I thought they were just running on Posey, but he was actually pretty good last year throwing out runners.

Interesting comments by Coomer concerning Carcer Burks.  He said that he was the best defensive minor league left fielder that he has ever seen.

I have no idea if Coomer is a good judge of minor league talent, nor if he has seen a lot of minor league players.

Burks made the KATO top 100 prospects on Fangraphs and it has a defensive metrics are included to come up with WAR calculations.  So I guess I could buy it.

Schwarber looks like he'll have to run around in the shower to get wet.

Happ with his HR to leadoff.

Lester was throwing in the high 80's.

Happ hitting leadoff and playing CF against most RHP is not an unlikely scenario.

That's Happ's second leadoff homer in 3 games so far.

Happ with a double to lead off the second inning according to Twitter. If he came into the spring as the most likely leadoff hitter, he hasn't done anything to discourage that through his first three games.

At least he's not walking and jamming up the bases.
