Schwarber and Happ being 2/3 of your outfield is a little scary, though maybe Kyle will take a step forward defensively this season.

I thought we got Darvish because you told Theo that outfield defense wouldn't be an issue.

I never made any such claims.  I just told them Baez was going to be the everyday SS.

At least he's not walking and jamming up the bases.

Do you know NOTHING at all about baseball?  The correct term is "clogging the bases".

"Clogging"  That's right.  I knew "jamming" didn't look right.   I should have checked with you since you're so much older and smarter.

Talk about  a mixed compliment.  You can not set the bar higher than older than you, and can not set the bar lower than smarter than you.

Crap.  He figured it out.  Pretty good for a senile old goat.

Only spring training, but it's still fun.
Butler two perfect innings with a couple of K's.
Wilson a perfect inning.  I think 5 pitches, all strikes, one K.
Edwards about the same?

Grimm pitched an inning.... and gave up a HR!  :)
Montgomery a couple of hits.

Yesterday Maples 2 hits, 2 walks, 2 runs.

Obviously it's early and doesn't mean anything.  But I imagine throwing strikes and getting outs can't be bad psychology for Wilson and Edwards.

Cubs beat the Athletics 7-5 today and are now 4-1-1.

Obviously it's early and doesn't mean anything.  But I imagine winning games can't be bad psychology for the team.
