He works around a Baez error and the Cubs take game three.

Zo with the go-ahead hit in the top of the 10th, and Monty in to close it out...what are the odds that this would actually work?

Nice game for the offense to win, and another excellent night for the relievers, Cishek stranding a couple of guys he inherited from Darvish.

Did they play in Springfield today, Dave?

When we get beat by a dominant pitcher or because the other team is hitting the bejesus out of the ball, I can handle that.   But this squandering scoring opportunities will drive me nuttier.

"Oh, Peters is down.  He's hurt!  Looks like Miami will have to play the rest of the game with Peters out."

From the Best of Radio Bloopers, paraphrased.

Rained all day here.  I was feeling bad for you.  Great to hear.  Try the Chesepeake on the north side of town.  You'll need a reservation.

It's not ideal that Quintana is going to throw 20+ pitches in the first inning.

25 pitches in the first...only a walk allowed, but also no Ks and some hard contact.

Quintana often had trouble in the first inning last year with the Cubs, though. Hopefully he'll settle in now.

Cubs get more RISP chances in the first but Russell and Schwarber both make hard outs. Schwarber's ball was 106 mph.
