I'm sure deeg is right, it must have been collusion that caused the rest of baseball to under-bid on Yu.

Another quiet inning of futility by the Cubs offense. Bryant, Rizzo and Contreras have 6 homers combined this year. To put that into perspective, Pablo Sandoval has that many by himself. It is a miracle the Cubs are over .500 and tied for the division with their best hitters doing so little. Bryant's other stats are decent, but he still struggles with men on and since returning has contributed once that I can think of. History tells us Rizzo and Bryant will pick it up. Contreras is so young it is hard to know if last year was an aberration or not.

I wonder if Mike Montgomery knows his role yet. Apparently, it is mop up duty. Enjoy!

Forget his ERA for a minute, Darvish has only completed 5 innings in 2 of his 6 starts so far.

Bryant homers down 6-1. He and Heyward must practice that.

Bryant's other stats are decent, but he still struggles with men on.

Small sample and all but with men on, Bryant is .310/.488/.448 and an sOPS+ of 154. And in the all important RISP category, he's .400/.583/.600 and sOPS+ of 221. So, not struggling.

Take out his first start against the Dbacks and Tyler Anderson's ERA is 2.50 for the year. When he did get that good?

Bryant has 15 at-bats with RISP the whole year.
