Baez is taken out of the game in the middle of the 7th.  Marlin announcers speculate that he strained his back on an earlier swing.

On the radio broadcast they said the Cubs had gone 15 consecutive games without hitting a multi-run HR prior to tonight.

Yes, Baez has been GREAT!  Still swinging VERY hard; however, he's now laying off pitches out of the zone that he used to flail at!

We've all seen Baez' immense talent since he was in A-ball...Deeg, you've been his #1 fan and he certainly appears to be fulfilling his immense offensive potential now...it's very cool watching him mash as well as play D and run the bases! 

(speaking of running, sure hope Baez can run tomorrow and he doesn't have a sidelining groin issue)
