Four batters in, and it looks like it's going to be a long day for the Cubs. Albies homered, and now they have first and third with 1 out. Quintana is nibbling too much (as usual), and the umpire is giving him nothing on the corners. And he's about to walk the bases loaded.

Also, listening to Chip Caray is brutal. I don't know how we didn't all quit the Cubs when we had to listen to him on a daily basis for several years in a row.

The MLB Network is using the WGN telecast with Len and JD.  Is it blacked out for you?

Cubs back to playing sloppy, crappy baseball. Rizzo misses the base on a weak grounder, #8 hitter reaches. Bunt, Bryant throws wildly to second, and both runners are safe. Should be two quick, easy outs in the second inning, but the Cubs have played it into a threat.

Now an easy double play ball to Baez, he drops it, and just barely rolls it over to La Stella for one out. Cubs should be out of this inning, but it's first and third, 1 out.

The Cubs just can't play sustained good baseball.

Almora almost breaks too far back on a Freeman line drive, but he comes in a couple steps and catches it. Despite the Cubs' best efforts, Quintana pitches a scoreless second.

Walk followed by an Almora homer, 2-1 Cubs.

Quintana immediately gives back both runs.

The play at first Rizzo slid of the bag on a glove toss from Quintana. It was a bang bang play.

Bryant made an aggressive play on a bunt and the runner was safe at second. Of all the plays that didn’t bother me.

Baez booted a double play ball and got an out at second. That seemed to be the only play that was sloppy to me.

I didn’t get the sense that Freeman’s line drive was ever in danger of not getting caught.

Now Bryant gets the 2 runs back, 4-3 Cubs.
