Cubs down to their last inning and Schwindel leads it off with a double.  Down by three; let's get a rally going.

Duffy walks and Contreras is quickly in an 0-2 hole, aided by a terrible call on a low pitch for strike one.  He hits a grounder that pulls Sano off first, but Sano reaches back to just barely tag Contreras on the hand; on replay the call is upheld.

Now Nico grounds to third but the throw to first is in the dirt.  Trayce Thompson with a chance to be the hero.

The Cubs are on pace to become the first team to whiff 1,600 times in a season.
