What if Hendricks has another bad outing?  Certainly Ross will have the entire bullpen warming up, including Kimbrel, and, if it is allowed, he will go down there himself and assess his assets. Certainly that will be the case tonight.

Now, I’m pretty sure that the bullpen only warms up two pitchers at a time, so the relievers, every last one of them, will wait their turn to warm up.  Ross, before he was a baseball announcer, was a catcher, and if the catcher can’t tell if the pitcher is looks good then who can?

No word on who Pederson replaced on the roster or Happ's status

Chicago Cubs  @Cubs  3m
Tonight’s game between the #Cubs and Dodgers at Wrigley Field has been postponed due to inclement weather.

The makeup game is scheduled for tomorrow at 1:20 p.m. CDT as the first game of a split doubleheader.

This is weird. I live about 1 1/2 miles from Wrigley Field and I just returned from a 3.5 mile walk in the park. No rain or precipitation of any sort. No dark, threatening clouds or lightning like in the photo.  I don't know when that photo was taken, but it wasn't today.

However, there is a prediction of heavy thunderstorms starting around 8:00.

Strange, indeed.  The photo came from the Cubs own Twitter feed and has since been taken down.  The forecast this morning mentioned only the possibility of light showers.

The end of the Nuveen sign is visible above the left field stands.  It has not been there all year.  Shame on the Cubs.

Dodgers were slumping - Cubs are slump-busters

It's a shame Davies has been awful, because a Davies-Bryant package to LA makes a lot of sense.  They need a SP and could really use another RH bat.

In 2014 we had an up-and-coming team where you could tell great things were on the horizon.  After an awful first half, the team actually played over .500 for the latter half (or so) of the season.  They were exciting to watch at times.

I'm not getting that vibe from the 2021 squad.
