MLB Network will be broadcasting three games on Friday, May 7 for out-of-market viewers. The schedule includes the Pittsburgh Pirates vs. the Chicago Cubs at 2:20 p.m. ET, the Washington Nationals vs. the New York Yankees at 7:05 p.m., and the Philadelphia Phillies vs. the Atlanta Braves at 7:20 p.m.
If you aren’t around a TV to check out this primetime MLB matchup, you can stream the game via MLBNetwork.com, via the MLB app, and through MLB.TV. But keep in mind that you need a cable-login subscription for MLB Network or an MLB.TV subscription. If you don’t have a cable login to access MLB Network for a live stream, you can get a free trial from YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV, AT&T TV Now, FuboTV, or Sling TV to stream the games.
Pirates-Cubs will actually be MLB.TV’s free game of the day. So, if you’ve been meaning to give it a try, you can get in a little afternoon baseball. For local viewing, the game will air on AT&T SportsNet-PIT in the Pirates market and Marquee Sports Network in the Cubs market. Trevor Cahill and Zach Davies will start for Pittsburgh and Chicago, respectively. The Cubs are a -148 favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook while the Pirates are a +125 underdog. The two teams have split their first six matchups this season.
