He wouldn't be the first late bloomer to seemingly come out of nowhere.

Max Muncy, Justin Turner.

Bryant strikes out swinging with runners on first and third.  That away.

Baez up with bases loaded one out and game tied 3-3.

Looking back at Wisdom's minor league seasons, he had 31 HRs in 2017 for the Cards' AAA team and 31 HRs in 2019 for the Rangers' AAA team.  Anybody have a handle on how his defense has been?

Could he be for real?  If so, that would certainly be a kinda big deal.

Advanced stats are not real kind to his 3B defense at the big league level, but it's a fairly small sample size.

Anyone else ever seen a TOOTBLAN running home-to-first?

Higgins grounds out sharply.  Does he even have a batting average yet?  Certainly you don’t go with Hendricks for another inning in this critical game?

Rizzo grounds into a double play top of the ninth to end the inning and for the money he is making that is unacceptable.

Kimbrel with nine pitches, nine strikes, three outs for the save, gotta hang on to him.

Never a doubt!  Actually, I give Hendricks a lot of credit for gutting through it on a day where he wasn't sharp.  And Ross deserves credit for allowing him to stay in the game into the 7th.  Kimbrel scared me to death giving up that wind blown deep drive to left in the 9th (memories of Milwaukee in 2019).  But all's well that ends well.

Really good catch by Bryant in the 9th too looking into the sun.
