Didn't they give Ozuna a gold glove?

Nico being Nico.

He takes what the pitcher is giving him better than anyone on the team, except maybe Zobrist. You wonder if he’s big league ready? Yeah, he’s there...

I'm not convinced yet.  He has to answer the same question Almora did - how does a guy who doesn't walk or hit home runs with regularity provide offensive value?  I think Hoerner has a chance to be a good offensive player and I expect him to be better than Almora, but the jury is still out.  And relying on him too much next season could be a mistake.

Is it bad when you have a six run lead in the 9th inning and you wonder if you can hold it?

Not sure...let me call Rafael Palmeiro to see if he knows...

I enjoyed watching the day games this year - even if they lost - takes me back to my youth - watching after school almost every day

And they lost almost every game back then too...oh for a Rudy Meoli visit to the booth.

Molina is getting all indignant after his plastic armguard is nicked by a pitch to put him on base to lead off the inning.

Hamels gets out of the inning pretty easily, though, with a fly out to left, a strikeout on a bunt, and another strikeout.

Happ is trying to convince the Cubs not to trade him.

On the Fox broadcast, the top of the strike zone rectangle is just slightly below the batter's belt, and the bottom is well below the bottom of the batter's knees.  Ridiculous.

Happ hits what looks like a soft fly down the left field line and it just keeps carrying until it's over the wall; 5-0, Cubs.

Now Caratini -- I had no idea he was Puerto Rican! -- hits a no-doubt blast into the right field bleachers, and it's 6-0.

I would love to sweep the Cardinals and hand Milwaukee the division.  The Cards are already fretting about how to arrange their starters.

Shildt coming out to get Waino with one out in the fifth.  Let's tax their bullpen tonight and really mess them up for tomorrow and the WC game that they will soon be in.

Same for Schwarber.  Schwarber up to .251, OVER .250!  Obviously juiced ball, so EVERYBODY really ought to have a career year this year.  But he's career-year tops in every category, now.

Same for Happ, obviously having only 151 PA his volume numbers are way down.  But all his rate numbers are now career-year-ish.  His batting average is up to .272, pretty astonishing.

He's always going to be a hot-and-cold guy, but it's probably more fun to go through the winter coming off a "hot".
