Gamel sac fly, and that's probably the game. There were no errors charged, but sloppy defense this inning has cost the Cubs at least one run.

Heyward hits a grounder to second...Contreras doesn't run for some reason, so they get Bote on the force and Contreras in a rundown. Runner at first, 2 outs. Really poor showing by the offense today.

After the first two get on in the 8th for the Brewers, Contreras throws the ball into RF trying to pick off Braun at first. Second and third, no outs.

Quintana was good until he started tiring in the last inning. But otherwise, this has been a terribly played game by the Cubs. Bad defense, bad base running, bad hitting.

Another run scores on a sac fly. 4-0.

Too bad that Cubs couldn’t keep this game close and force Brewers to use Hader today, perhaps limiting his usage for rest of this series.

Not a good outing for him, but Webster averaged 95 today with heat. But, could be that he will be odd man out next pitching move. Not great outing for Ryan today either, and Ryan has an option.

Decent chance, maybe, that Webster could get thru waivers to Iowa. If I’m reading Az Phil correctly, Webster can’t decline an outright.

The Cubs have looked kind of flat since the end of the Cardinals series. It's a good thing the Marlins came to town when they did--if they'd played anyone else this week, I think they would've won 2 of 4 at best.

Hopefully something will click tomorrow and they can still find a way to win this series.

Heyward leads off with a triple but is out at the plate on a perfect throw from Arcia after a Bryant grounder.

Len says the rain is expected to be light.  What's coming doesn't look all that light to me
