Some sloppy Brewers stuff, an error and a wild pitch, enabled the Cubs to squeak in the first-inning run.  Huge to get any run and to have a lead.  Maybe that sloppy-Brewers-allowed run will be the difference between a 1-run win and a 15-inning game! :)

They called that an error on Schwarber. lol

He obviously misplayed it, with help from the wind, but how do you give a player an error when he ends up diving for a ball and comes up short?

If that’s not an error then there is no point in keeping that stat (if there was any point at all). It was a 99% catch probability.

Hey, did you guys know that on a full count with two outs, the base runners will start running with the pitch and it’s an advantage to the offense? Alex
Rodriguez told me.

ARod just said this about Joe West: "Year after year, one of the most consistent umpires..."

Has he watched a game Joe West has called in the last 10 years?

Leadoff double for Aguilar, followed by an infield single for Grandal. First and third, no outs.

Aguilar thrown out at home by Baez with the infield not playing in. You don't need to play the infield in to get outs at home.

Lester comes out for the 7th even though he's thrown 99 pitches already. Arcia/pinch hitter/Cain due.

Cain walks with 2 outs. Yelich facing Lester for what is definitely Lester's last batter of the day.

Grounder up the middle, first and third with 2 outs. Kintzler coming in, looks like a double switch.
