Great win, huge clutch HR's for Rizzo and Almora, that's exactly what we needed.

Chatwood, what an outstanding game for him.

And also nice work by Maddon **NOT** trying to extend Hamels through another inning to protect the bullpen, etc..  Turning it over to Chatwood was a really, really good move.

Chatwood may be our MVP so far after Javy.

I stopped listening after the top of the eighth, but just checked back in to see who pitched the ninth. Of course we had to use Cishek with a 4-run lead.

I hate the thought of trading for a reliever again, but this bullpen situation is absolutely not sustainable.

No need to trade to add at least one impact arm.

Yeah, Jack Birdbath, front office folks have no idea what they're doing.

Everyone else has a great bullpen, while ours sucks.

All they need to do is dip into the trump funds and pay for the one guy who is out there and could make a difference.  It’s only money and these people have more than enough of it.

They sat out the offseason after a really ugly finish last year. They're not dipping into their huge profits now that the Cubs are in first place.

They'll trade for some underpaid reliever, but they're not spending on Kimbrel.

That's an awful lot of whining for a 1st-place team, dudes.

You guys would have really LOVED all the previous Cub owners and leadership groups many of us suffered through!

We're in a pretty good position thanks to a really smart front office (despite what you may think) and ownership that provides WAY more than most and gets the hell out of the front office's way (and not all do)!

We're not the only team a little short on relief pitching, particularly with a couple of our top guys out.

Chill, please.

Good effort, but I think it's hopeless Ben.

There are a billion people out there who feel that YOU have more than enough money.  Why not contribute?

Lester escapes the first with only two runs allowed, but burns 27 pitches, gave up a lot of rockets including one of the sac-fly outs, and threw a couple of other pitches that looked pretty fat and mashable.

He's such a battler, he often works his way into competitive starts even if he starts with nothing.  So hopefully he'll do that again today.

But Cubs hitters may need to score a bunch against Aaron Nola today.
