I don't see a blowout either way in this one... 10 points or less.

If there is a blowout, we're more likely to be on the losing end and that would be if our D totally fails and the Saints repeatedly stuff our red zone offense.

Wright and Merriweather both bring the heat, they could lose two more WR's this game.

Or we could get smoked for 2 or 3 deep TDs from blown coverages or missed tackles.  Like I said, with those two at S, it's high risk / high reward.

Also got to keep an eye on their TEs.

It all starts up front.  I don't see many playmakers on the Saint defensive line.  Sedrick Ellis is a nice DT but beyond him is just a bunch of journeyman type.  The do have first round pick Cameron Jordan, but who knows what he can do.

What could work against our line is the fast surface and the crowd noise.

Good point on the noise.

I could see Webb and Carimi each snagging 2 or 3 false starts apiece on Sunday.

Interesting thing, I'm looking at the Saints roster and seeing Alex Brown.  I thought sure they had cut him.  ? ? ?

They did.  Look at the roster on nfl.com.

OK...  obviously the roster on the Saints Website is out of date, then.

In fact, looking at the Saints Website it doesn't look like parts of it (i.e., the schedule on the homepage) have been updated since before Labor Day.

Figures.  In New Orleans no one is in a hurry to do anything.

When Thompson was kooking for a new HC the topl two on his search list were McCarthy and Peyton.  He chose McCarthy and Peyton went to NO,  Good eye.

27-20 Saints. It's very hard to beat a fast offense on their own turf. The speed of what they're doing makes it very hard on that fast surface...they are also in a must win type situation.

I think this game will come down to our offense vs. their defense.

Our defense plays better on turf.  The whole defensive scheme is based on speed.  We know the Saints are going to get their yards on offense and they will score a few TD's.  They are just to good to keep out of the endzone all day.  Sporty, I doubt the Saints score 27 points unless they win the TO battle.

Our offense is going to have to score themselves several times.  If our offense can move the ball, run time off the clock and score TD's instead of FG's the Bears have a very good chance to win.  I think it is going to take more then 20 points to win this game.
