Hmmm, Chris Harris out and Brandon Meriweather to start.  I wish he had a little more time to pick up the system and lingo.

Poll over at the Trib says that over 75% of the responees believe the Bears will win either a close game or win big vs the Saints. Thats pretty optimistic.

I agree with Sportster.  27 - 20 Saints sounds reasonable.

Bears are HUGE underdogs at 7 points.

Brees is the superstar on their offense with Colston out...and he's got a solid O-line, but someone else will have to step up for the Saints for them to score more than 20.   Could be their HB, maybe Sproles, Devery Henderson...   Bears missing Chris Harris could cost them.

Saints D looked bad last week, but Packers can do that to a lot of teams.  I just don't see their front 4 dominating and their DBs are banged up too.

Could be some points scored Sunday - could go either way.

Chicago Bears – Julius Peppers-DE

Written by: SR360 Contributor on September 17, 2011.

Virtually every member of the Bears defense will travel to Lovington, N.M., today to attend funeral services for Brian Urlacher’s mother, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. Julius Peppers has rented a private plane to take him and many of his teammates to the services before returning to New Orleans, where the Saints host the Bears on Sunday.

Class move by Peppers.  Now why didn't the Bears take care of this?

I expect the bears have to CYA, if they rent a plane for Urlacher, they have to rent one for the next guy that has a death in the family.
The league could likely also figure out some way to say it is some kind of compensation and apply it against the salary cap.

So I have been reading the Saints board for shi'ts and giggles.   For some reason the majority think they will blow out the Bears and at worse they win a close one.  Apparently the Bears and Saints have a rivalry.  Who knew?

Also they hate Chicago fans.  Probably because of the stupid sign by some assclowns at the championship game in 2006.

I am not posting there but several knowledgeable Bears fans are and they will not listen to reason.  They can not comprehend how the turf helps the Bears defense.  The Bears fans tend to think it will be close could go either way but of course predict a Bears win.  The Saints are certain it will be blow out by ty the Saints cause the fans want it so bad...

IMHO,

Bears win.  Score will be close but we will dominate all phases of game.  27-26 Bears.  Score makes it seem close but anyone who watches game knows Bears are the better team.

Don't we need JBN to weigh in on a prediction?

I doubt we need Otto's either. I'd hate to see what his is next week, something like 150-0.

If the Bears win today, I'll be hard pressed not to wet myself in anticipation of next week's game
