Hard to speculate on the injuries.

Carimi, appeared to get rolled up by Spencer when Spencer just fell while backpedaling,  didn't seem to be in a lot of pain - hopefully he'll be OK.

Wright got his bell rung and nowadays they're very careful about those.

I am hoping Bennett didn't break any ribs - most likely a deep bruise.

Bears win.  Score will be close but we will dominate all phases of game.  27-26 Bears.  Score makes it seem close but anyone who watches game knows Bears are the better team.

Saints 34-16 was the prediction and 30-13 was final.

Bennett got flattened! That was one ugly hit....

The Oline is a great percentage of our problems. If you noticed, Brees had alot more time than Cutler did. Many of Cutlers hits were as soon as he got back. Brees could do that, survey and fire. They have TWO ProBowl caliber guards,we have crap. When someone in management finally 'gets this',THEN we'll see this issue resolved. Until then, it's open season on Cutler and he will NOT survive this season with this **** line in front of him....

I will be shocked if Bennett does not have **** ribs.  The guy lead with the crown of his helmet.  Shocked there was no flag.  The way they are protecting receivers these days and that wasn't called?  Really?

Also how did the ball move several yards for a first down when Payton was yelling at the refs crying for a hitting out of bounds call?  Or the no review on the Sproles stepping out of bounds before he scored a TD?  Not saying it would of mattered but damn.

They have added so mnay spotty rules that it is hard for the refs to call them fairly.  Which to me says they are bad rules.

I have watched several other games today and the calls are all over the place.  Especially the calls on hits on WR's and QB's.  Those rules need to be reviewed cause right now the defense has no clue what they can or can't do.

Cutler can play the diplomat all he wants but he's getting fed up with this, you can see it. If I'm him, I tell the GM,the coach, whoever will listen 'Listen,if you do NOT address this offensive line,I'm out of here, period!'. I wouldn't fault him one iota for it...

When Cutler was pissed and bitching at the QB coach it was because the plays were not getting in fast enough.  Hw was correct ot be pissed.  I was getting pissed also.

By the time the call came in he had less then 10 seconds to get to the line do the motions and snap the ball.  It was allowing the defense to tee off because they knew the ball had to be snapped.  It was ridiculous and I know it cost several time outs.

Plus it puts Cutler the O-line and the whole offense at a disadvantage.  There is no excuse for it.  Especially when it was happening over and over and even after game stoppages.

After the game Cutler loads up on chewing tobacco and spits in the face of everyone of his ...

Martz really screwed the pooch today too. This was as unbalanced a offense as I've ever seen from them. INexcusable to have so many passes and so few runs....I just hope they have this stupidity out of their systems now and they come out and light up GB at home by some miraculous intervention....

They absolutely need to run the ball.  However the pass was working.  The dump offs to Forte were golden.

They were getting 10 yards a clip with those.

The problems with pass protection started when the time and score dictated they had to pass.  Plus when they did run they were losing yards.

I am telling you the game was lost when Kellen Davis did not make his block and Cutler fumbled on the sack.  Then Briggs gave up a TD instead of being where he should of been which would have been a pick six.  Once the Saints got that far ahead the Bears were done.

Oh and what is wrong with Hester?

He had a terrible game today!  Knox wasn't a whole lot better.  Even Sanzenbacher dropped a few.

The Saints DB's were getting there pretty much the same time as the ball and our WR's lost that battle every time.

A patchwork of OL and WR's came to play today ... and it showed.

Cutler should be able to carry a GUN against G.B. for protection, it's only fair.

Hopefully Raji and Matthews should be dead after watching the game tapes from multiple orgasms.

 So they shouldnt be a factor.  :-[  ::)  :P

Is this the Giants game from last year? Do we get our sh!t together from here on out? If not, Cutler will be injured in no time. There were times Cutler had nowhere to go in a matter of seconds. I agree that he held on to the ball too long a few times, but most of it goes on the line..

It wouldn't have made one bit of difference in the outcome but can somebody explain why Cutler got flagged for intentional grounding and Brees did not on virtually identical plays. Any mention from the announcers? I was watching in a sports bar and couldn't hear any explanation but they did replay the Brees one a few times.

QB - Cutler's accuracy was horrible. On the other hand he had no help from anyone on the field but Forte. He did throw a TD and he managed not to throw any picks which given the circumstances is a tremendous accomplishment.  Grade = C

RB - Forte is a flat-out stud and it's a shame his career is going to waste with this bunch of yahoos.  Kahlil Bell did nothing special in reserve. Grade = A+ for Forte and a C for Kahlil Bell for an average of B+

WR - This group was invisible pretty much all day and especially after Earl Bennett exited. It's very obvious that all a defense needs to do is rough up our WRs and our entire offense goes south.  That's a very bad thing.  Grade = C-minus and if not for Sanzenbacher's TD catch it would be much lower.  BTW Sam Hurd is terrible, both on teams and as a WR. I was actually wishing we had Rasheed Davis back.

TE - I'm a big Kellen Davis fan but if they coaches are trying to use him as a 3rd OT (as it appears they are), it ain't working. After getting Cutler pounded vs. the Falcons he had another terrible screw-up yesterday resulting in the strip sack, and was invisible as a pass catcher.  It's not his fault he's being misused but he was really struggling out there yesterday.  Grade = D and if this is all the coaches are going to use him for we might as well sit him down and play a proper 3rd OT in his place.

OL - Wow. Could this group of stiffs have been any worse?  Even though the sack total was less than last year's Giants game, this group played every bit as poorly as that unit and maybe worse when you consider the punishment Cutler took on plays that weren't sacks.  This group was just flat-out awful and particularly our OTs who were beat on the edge time after time even when getting TE help.

DL - Big letdown from this group after a great game in week 1.  They didn't totally suck but they didn't have a big impact either.  Grade = C minus

LB - Put up the least sucky performance of any of the defensive units.  Grade = B-minus

DB - CBs were adequate, not good. Safeties were godawful. Major Wrong and Chris Conte are the NFL's version of Dumb & Dumber, and Merriwether again failed to live up to his hype or his paycheck.  Grade = C-minus for the CBs and an F for the safeties for a D-minus average.

ST - Nothing really to complain about here although a return for TD would have been really welcomed yesterday.  Grade = B+

Coaching - Total coaching fail. These guys clearly got caught up in all the Urlacher drama and it affected not only the gamplanning (assuming we even prepared for this team, which was hard to tell), but in-game calls and adjustments (or lack thereof). The entire coaching staff was in a fog and the play on the field reflected that.  Why no challenge of the Sproles TD when he was clearly a full yard short?  And Martz in particular was dreadful. When the offense has to take 2 timeouts in the first QUARTER that tells you there's a real clusterf-uck going on on the sidelines.  Grade = F

Saints were very determined to get a win... - and they had extra time to game plan...

Bears were in it before the injuries.

Any word on Carimi yet?

Refs were terrible - no consistency on calls - no replay on the one TD where the guy clearly stepped on the sideline before crossing the plane
