By the end of the game Cutler was totally shell shocked.  He was sacked 6 times, but how many times was he hit/knocked down?  15-20 easy.  I dont blame him at all for being pis-sed.  I think that explains why his throws were off at the end.

Like I said, in terms of the punishment Cutler took I think you could argue that yesterday's OL debacle was actually worse than last year's Giants game.  Chrissakes the guy got kicked in the throat...  what kind of OL lets that happen to their QB?

On that one series towards the end when they kept sacking him and had us pushed us back to our goal line I was actually hoping he'd run out of the back of the end zone just as a big F U to Martz.

Maybe the OL and TE spent a little too much time on Bourbon Street. ; )  I think GB is going to totally dismantle us next Sunday.

The Packers didn't exactly look like world beaters against Carolina.

Even though they're 0-2 Carolina is much improved. Chico has those guys on a fast track to competitiveness and Cam Newton has pretty much silenced even his most vocal critics. When those youngsters start learning how to win, look out.

That wasn't an easy game for the Pack and it damn sure won't be an easy game for us.

I think the Urlacher thing dragged the whole team down. We got our azzes handed to us physically, no question, but focus and intensity were badly lacking as well.

Teams that have exceptional talent and great coaching would have used Lavoyda's death as motivation to come out and have a world-beating performance (like Favre did on that Monday night game after his Dad died).  Unfortuately the Bears are extremely average (in both talent and coaching), and you saw the result yesterday against a highly motivated and very physical playoff-caliber team.

Even on a day with the less than usual stellar play of the Packers offense and defense we still found ourselves up 30-16 with two minutes to go and finished the job on the road.

You're right about Carolina and in particular Cam Newton. I was a doubter about his abilities, but he has a strong arm and he can make all the throws. They did yesterday what the bears did for alot of his yards (max protect) and ran the WR's deep to throw underneath to the RB Stewart. But they also had a good WR in Smith and Newton can put the ball out to him on the go routes.

The Packers defense beat them yesterday by completely shutting down the their running game and forcing Cam to throw.

So, which is harder on the road....New Orleans or Carolina?  If the Packers played New Orleans like they played against Carolina they would have lost too. Both Bears and Packers need to step it up next week. Neither team was impressive in week 2...Packers just had the easier route.

Clearly right now its harder in New Orleans, but you guys folded in the second half. Due in large part to injuries and bad OC scheme.

You're half right.  The Packers weren't impressive.  But the Bears were far worse than "not impressive"...  they were flat-out awful.

There are Division 1 college teams that would have given the Saints a better fight than the Bears put up yesterday.

supposedly Cutler's didn't get across the line of scrimmage and Brees throw did. Hellifiknow. That helmet hit on Earl should be a fine and or a game sit. The nfl better do something or next week ALL wideouts are going to get it.

I missed the game yesterday, but did listen to a bit of radio coverage. What seemed obvious to me was the DL wasnt getting enough pressure on the QB

I did watch some of the Atlanta/Iggles game. The referees were allowing helmet to helmet stuff and helmet to the ribs stuff that should be game penalties. Very poor officiating. Hopefully the league steps in and fines these players.

There was no explanation from the announcers on the calls.  They cheered for penalties against the Bears when there shouldn't have been and bitched about flags on obvious Sanits penalties.

I think after Payton reamed the Refs after the roughing the passer penalty (that was 100% legit even if the announcers and Payton claim it wasn't) they gave the Saints all of the calls.  Hell they even moved the spot of the ball up for a first down after that.

If Cutlers was grounding so was Brees simple as that.

The fact is a mediocre at best O-line which was with out their starting right guard lost their starting right tackle.  Between that and falling behind the Saints were able to pin their ears back and it was all over.

Also the one long TD given up by Wright should have never happened and probably wouldn't have if Chris Harris was playing.  Fact is this team has very little depth and it is already showing up to all of the injuries.

If the Bears get healthy they will compete with anyone in the league.  If they keep losing players to injuries they will be lucky to win 8 games.

Was it me or was Joe Buck constantly referring to "Jim" Jennings instead of Tim?

One of the benefits of watching the game in a sports bar was that I didn't have to listen to that a$$hole

True statement.   Our DTs were neutralized by the Saints guards.  Idonijie had the only Bears sack and Peppers almost had one but that was about it.  Urlacher and Briggs were ineffective when they blitzed.  DJ Moore blitzed a couple times but it surprised no one.

Brees is elusive and really didn't throw deep alot.  Lots of checkdowns and screens to his HBs and found his TE quite a bit as the game progressed.

The deep pass to Henderson and the Cutler fumble were the key plays of the game.

Here we went out and spend money on improving the DLine and we get nothing out of it while the OLine is desperately in need of an upgrade and got no such help at all

With all the improvements at safety and DT we should be in line for a SB trip and this is what we get to show for it. That falls completely on Angeblow.
