I think there is some kind of ego thing going on between Martz, Cutler and Tice.  If that is in fact the case fire Martz and make Tice the OC.

Currently it seems Tice and Cutler are on the same page while Martz and Cutler are dueling it out even while on the field.  That can;t happen and I blame Lovie for allowing it.

Fire Martz and let's get on with it.

On the way back from Minny and Mall of America. Didn't see the game. How'd they look? Standouts and flops? Heard some of the game and sounded like Conte had a decent one.

WE won. Conte picked one. No real flops on our team. They did good.

Props to the Bears for the win. Sure glad the game wasn't any longer though... jet lag definitely hit our boys in the 2nd half.

Forte was a stud once again. Cutler had his worst game of the season statistically but made the throws that had to be made. The OL was largely solid except for a wretched fail on 3rd and a short 1 toward the end of the game. The D was tremendous in the 1st half but tailed off a bit in the 2nd half.  4 picks of Josh Freeman is nothing to sneeze at though, and ultimately made the difference in the game.

Falcons did us a nice favor yesterday and if Stafford is out for any appreciable time we may have the chance to reclaim 2nd place in the division sooner than later.

Anyone notice the look on Cutlers face when that cute chick was singing the British national anthem?  Priceless.

I dont know about anyone else, but when Major Wright gets back I am ready to let him replace Chris Harris again.

Chris Harris clearly is not 100% yet. He should have had that INT and I think he would have had had it if he were fully healthy.

Conte has had two more or less solid games now at the other S position so that's something to build on, anyway.

There's a lot to chew on ahead of our next matchup vs. the Eagles.

- It will be our third road game out of the last four, in which we are 2-1.

- It will be our fourth night game in a row, having gone 2-1 in the first three.

- We will have the longest stretch of rest possible, getting not only the bye week off but the following Sunday as well.

- Depending on how the Lions do against the Broncos next week, we could have the opportunity to tie them for 2nd place in the division ahead of the re-match at Soldiers on Nov. 13.

- The Eagles, for their part, are perhaps the biggest surprise (in a bad way) of the season, currently at 2-4, winless at home and in the cellar of a weak NFC East division that many expected them to be winning with ease. We will be getting them on a short week, off a Monday night game in Philly against the Cowboys.

Bottom line, on paper at least, looks like a well rested and prepared Bears team with momentum and motivation, going against a disappointing and dysfunctional Eagles team that has been beating themselves this year and may not have much to play for by the time we get them.  Feels like a win for the Bears but these are two teams that always keep their fans guessing so it's a tough one to call.

Lay the points, bet Philly. It's a must win for them.

Philly 27

Bear 16

It's a must win for the Bears though too. Chicago needs to be thinking 10 wins to make the playoffs and even that may not be enough depending on how the other divisions play out.

It's not a must win in the same sense for the bears. If Philly falls to 3-5 every expectation they had for the season is done. The bear can lose this game and on Tuesday at lovie's presser, he states their .500 and a lot of football has yet to be played.

Bet Philly.

The Eagles feel like they are a hair-trigger away from imploding. Andy Reid seems to be about at the end of his run, there have been some rather unpleasant confrontations between players and fans, and there is precious little veteran leadership emerging on that team despite all the big-name, multimillion-dollar players on the roster.

Best case scenario I can come up with is that the Cowboys put an epic primetime beatdown on the Eagles the week before we play them, which launches the Philly organization into a full-blown meltdown.

Then we come in with two full weeks of rest and mop up handily on national TV...   ;D

Ah not so fast. I am not so sure of this but dont the Bears usually play flat coming out of the bye week? Maybe with the sense of urgency they do better but I am not sold that Otto isnt right about that score.
