The difference is Wright is young and can learn.  Harris was as good as he was going to get and was playing terrible.

If both guys are going to make mistakes you go with the younger more athletic safety.

But I am not getting the love for Merriweather either.  For what we are paying the guy like 3+ Mill he ought to be all world and he isnt.

He brings the pain.  He is our enforcer.  Heck put him in and say take out that WR.  That is what he is for.

He hurts WR's and gets in their head.  Let him play a few plays a game and if he gets one big hit it is worth it.

If he was around for last year and knocked out any G.B. WR in the playoffs with a cheap shot and got ejected ...

 mission accomplished.

Bears pick up his fine out of the Halas Hall slushfund.

REAL football teams play for keeps in the playoffs ... ask Cutler.

It's a dirty business when alot of money is on the line.

With all the new rules, Doug Plank could not play today. (12th rounder in 1975)

Well, he is either THAT or a misguided, misaimed flying missile. I subscribe to the notion that he needs to calm down and concentrate on a targeted response to what he does. With him it's more a Ready, FIRE, Aim approach....

 Either way works.

Have you seen how the Pats defense rates since they cut him?

Yes, but is that the reason they are bad. There is obviously more to it than that.

Haynesworth doesn't seem to be helping.

Well so much for catching an Eagles team on the ropes. They looked elite against the Cowboys last night.

Looks like we'll be catching them at full strength and full of swagger.

Eagles looked like the team that was hyped up in the offseason.  The Cowboys game was a big game for them coming off their bye though I don't expect a big letdown when they face the Bears next Monday night.

Their defense is setup to stop the pass with 2 top flight DEs and 2 top flight CBs.  Bears will have to be patient and stick with the running game.  That's assuming our defense can keep the clamps on Vick, McCoy, Maclin, Selek, Jackson...

Mike Martz  not to abandon the running game for the pass? mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm............. Bear falls behind it'll end up 80 passes 3 running attempts and Cutler on Ir in a coma.  " we were forced to pass", said OC martz on his way to his office to text Cutler's next of kin.
