Nichols is quickly becoming a beast. That play where he basically squeezed through the guard and center pushing them both aside and nailing the back, no one in the league does it any better. Just a outstanding play and if he can continue making plays like that, this young man is going to get paid a LOT of money in the coming years.....

I like Unrein as a person, but he was blocking development and playing time of Bullard.  Line is much more productive... obviously Mack, but I think the talent and depth is greatly improved with Bullard, RRH, and Nichols.  Last season it seemed like Hicks was on the field way too much to stay productive and risking health.  Glad to see this depth.

This year Unrein would have been blocking the development of all 3 of our young DEs.  Probably not in 2016, maybe a little in 2017.

Salary cap dictates not being able to re-sign all your FAs - letting Unrein go this year was a good decision.

Can anyone name a better front 7 in the NFL than the Bears?

Not only a very good front 7, but with some depth! Piece by piece, this team has changed from one of the least talented to one with plenty of talent. It's really amazing how it's come together. Wasn't long ago we were lamenting the empty cupboard....no more!!  ;D

That was what I was saying about the Eagles last year.  They were always shuffling in new defensive lineman through a game, and consequently stayed productive and healthy.

With Acho out it will be interesting to see who Fangio brings in to the OLB pass rush rotation along with Floyd/Lynch/Mack - Fitts or Irving?

I see Nagy is giving the players "most of the week" off.  I remember Fox used to give the week off and they would lose coming off the bye.  Hopefully they iron out some things during the break.

Saw some analysis on the Bears D.  It was quite an accomplishment to do as well as they did against Deshaun Jackson Mike Evans and OJ Howard.  Tolliver underestimated Jackson's speed a couple of times, but then Jackson has burned countless better corners.

Fangio has the defense continuously improving.  It's good to see the development of players like Nickols, Robertson-Harris and Bullard.  Tolliver was brought up to speed quickly.  Hopefully we'll see the same move forward for Floyd and Roquan Smith.

Offensively this was the best pass protection I've seen in awhile.  Tampa's front 7 are no slouches.  Why they struggle to run block is a concern.

Hicks was double teamed ALL the time last year...no more. Also teams can't double team everyone....Mack, Goldman, Floyd.....and then there is Lynch who may benefit the most as teams will not account for him.

Much like Steve McMichiels.  He could be contained with a double team, but there just weren't enough defenders to double team him and still deal with Dent, Hampton, Fridge and the line backers.

Rumor is that Tannehill is closer to doubtful than questionable, and may be a game time decision...

The future starts now for the Bears. They've gotten 4 games in and have looked better each time, so the trend is positive.

There will be slips and falls but this is one game where they should not fail to win.

The question is how. I think Jordan Howard has a big part in that today (proving those who want to trade him just because he's not featured at the moment as just asinine). I don't have any proof but its just a gut feeling.

And that gut has been growing ever since the beginning of the season and my beer intake has gone up and exercise gone down :)

Go Bears !

During football season beer consumption is expected to go up.Don't be to hard on yourself. The way to combat that is don't eat after breakfast.Save all those calories for where they really count! ;D
