Get used to ugly wins and be happy with them.  I don't see any easy games from here on out.

I knew this was gonna be a tough win.  No offensive style points but take the road victory.

Thoughts:
- don't EVER rush 3 guys
- not only is Nagy getting too cute on short yardage they were running Howard wide several times when only a yard was needed
- all offensive skills players need to practice holding on to the ball after getting tackled - all our future opponents are going to be doing their best peanut tillman impersonations
- Bears finally attempt a deep pass - Nagy is still conservative with Trubisky attempts - lots of short passes (86% completed with 8.5 per attempt) - do we have crossing patterns in our play book?
- nice pressure on pass rush - that was the difference between the 49ers team and ours - despite them having 3 sacks to our 1
- Cohen has one of his least productive games - 49ers focused on him
- QB for 49ers was impressive with a bunch of backup skill guys - without Mack today we lose
- this offensive production will get you beat in playoffs

Ugly road win, I'll take it. A win against a scrappy yet not that great of a team (although, their D is ranked 10th). As I said yesterday, our D is giving up yardage at  pretty good clip. The niners were driving the field, then always imploded when approaching or in the red zone. Granted, some of that implosion was due to our D.

WTF regarding Parkey. We're going into the playoffs with a kicker that can easily miss field goals that are extra point range. You get a bad weather day at Soldier and field goals could easily be the difference.

Road wins are great. They should have scored more points. I felt Nagy was trying to dig too deep into the play book.

Trubisky had a great game accept for the fumble. I thought he should have run more.

Anytime they want to find a good replacement for Packey that would be ok for me.

If the Bears lose in the playoffs, I hope Parkey is not the scapegoat for that loss. Its hard to fix problems if they can't be honest enough to affix the blame causes to the proper places. ...

This team is young and don't quite know what they are yet (like a premier racing foal getting to its unsteady legs). But the initial indications are that they are a team with "legs" (so to speak) that can make an extended run...

The playoffs are a different beast (as is the Superbowl) than regular season as regular season is to pre-season. Here's hoping they cope with it well and win.

Go Bears !

BTW Merry Christmas All !

If Parkey misses FGs and extra points, then the blame will be on him as long as the holder isn't the issue....

After Parkey hit the goalpost 4 times, he adjusted something and hit the next several kicks square.  Then there was another game where he was cruising then right near the end he pulled his extra point.  It still went through, but it was not in the norm of his previous kicks. Since then, he has been a bit erratic again.

It is almost always that his kicks sail right when he misses.  I am not a professional kicker, but I almost think it must be something with his standing placement being off a half foot before he starts the process.  It sucks not being able to rely on him.

I think he over corrects for the wind.  It is in his head.

As bad as the footing was for players on both teams, it wouldn’t surprise me if it didn’t play a part in his missed kick.
