I’m wondering how good this O can be with another offseason together. I think they are just scratching the surface.

Assuming Trubisky is the real deal - I think the offense could add a deep threat WR, a complete running back, and another offensive lineman.  But I think they can win with the current talent base offensively but offense still ranked 21st.

BTW, Mack, Fuller and Jackson were just voted all-pros.

Like all the optimism here and yeah, No.2 for a reason I'd agree. The biggest factors I see complicating things is lack of having been there, done that. Pressure of the game could get to them. Perhaps too much success too fast? This team looked like the reincarnation of the 85 team in that first game first half against the Pack, then they blew it. Youth and inexperience are perhaps what could derail them. But honestly....my issue is I'm afraid to hope. Having been let down so often by this team, I'm nervous.

Been 8 years since we've been in the playoffs. Lost to the Pack in the championship game... So it's easy to understand the apprehension. The eagles are playing good ball right now, but so are the Bears. There would be a lot more talk about Superbowl if they had the "experience"..

I think we beat the Eagles at home, but lose on the road to the Rams.  It will be our youth and the fact we do not play very well on the road.

Experience is over rated.  Talent wins the games.

But when talent is close to even, experience usually wins.

Coaching is THE force multiplier. It takes talent and utilizes it better (see Fangio the way he's using Mack, Roquan et  al. and Nagy's use of Cohen)....

One thing that I always loved about football is that it is a true team game. Ten guys on the field can do their job perfectly but if one does not that one can be the reason a play (and season) fails.

What excites me so much about this team (above the fact that they have a pulse and are genuinely interesting) is that they really seem to be playing for EACH OTHER as much as themselves. A good example is look at when a player who outside of Chicago goes out and has a good play (Bellamy, McManus) and EVERYONE is patting them on the back on the sideline and just enjoying the moment. Its happened multiple times this season and is a good indicator of where this team locker room is....

They do not know how good they can be (yet). The best is yet to come........

Big part of me agrees.. But another part knows that the playoffs seem to speed up a notch and become a bit more intense. With that said, this is the best I've felt about football in Chicago in a long time..

It’s the only pro playoffs where it’s one and done...
