What if more of the 10-15 passes Foles tossed up off his back foot to have a WR run under them and make the catch gets picked off?

Good point.  Many here are criticizing the Bears for not getting to Foles more...meaning more sacks.

Bears had pressure on him throughout the game but Foles rarely held the ball for more than several seconds.  And it was incredible how accurate he was with someone in his face.  Unlike Kirk Cousins, he didn't wilt.

He also has quite a bit of trust with his receivers:  Jeffery, Agholor, Ertz, Sproles and Goedert.   I really really miss Jeffery...his catch on 3rd and 9 when Amukamora was laying back in the end zone was huge.

But at least we have a QB and a head coach who knows how to use him.  That has been the missing piece for so long.  Now they just need to take the next step, and we need to get lucky with injuries again.

Listened to Golic on ESPN this morning on the way to work - they were talking to Chicago' Tom Waddle about the long Miller catch over LeBlanc and subsequent fumble.

Initially ruled an incomplete pass but after review if was ruled a catch, but since the ref picked up the ball before anyone attempted to pick it up - it reverted back to incomplete pass?  Or no play?

The announcers didn't understand why it wasn't Bears ball at the point of the fumble since it was never recovered.  Huge play.  I thought the Bears caught a break since I did not see Miller's knee hit the ground before the fumble.

Somewhat reminds me of the Bears/Packers NFC championship game where a ball was just sitting on the field.

Even the Eagles D thought it was Bears ball down there. Strange play...

If the Bears decide to slip Coward to RT, I'd like to think that keeping both Amos and Callahan is doable.  I want to resign Massie, but even at his age, I think there will be teams that can pay more than the Bears are able/willing to.

I believe the offense will get better next year.  The key is to get lucky with the injuries.

If the Bears are not able to keep Fangio (and Donatell if he follows him as his DC), then they gotta hit with the next guy (Bowles, etc.).

Everyone had to realize the Eagles would be tough. I for one honestly thought the Bears would handle them, win by 10. I was certain the Eagles couldn't blow the Bears out. I'm not totally surprised about losing a close one. One thing is certain, someone has to win and someone has to lose. I'll be surprised if the Saints don't handle these guys, not easily, but fairly. The Eagles are on a roll, they're confident for sure.. We just didn't play all that well, for at least the first 3 1/2 quarters. I still want to know where Mack was, 'cause he was a no show (Julius Peppers like)..

Interesting how Trubisky was more accurate after he got hurtand stayed in the pocket......apparently because he couldn't scramble much.

Yeah I was thinking Mack likes the big stage, he is going to have a monster game.  But not so much.  I still think he was over concerned about the 2 pt play he was in on.

There isn't a darn thing any of us can do about the loss. Yes the sun still rose today. But put me in the camp of "That a was a disappointing loss, and we could easily not even make the playoffs next season".. Oh well, fukk football!! Until next season anyway..

If Fangio goes, then why can't Donnatell become the Bears DC instead of going to wherever?

Not me I can't wait till next year.
Trubisky has improved so much an Nagy will be working with him on reading defenses decision making and working faster(I noticed on many plays Trubisky hesitated when receivers were open and the defense defended the pass)

Pace will tweak the roster Nagy will learn from his mistakes and they will start off a better team.

Well, according to Dave 2 1/2 the Eagles weren't to be worried over..... right, Davey?

You are such an idiot. Do you truly not realize that last season’s results mean absolutely nothing this season? Are you truly that stupid?

The Eagles are a hot team, with a hot QB and on a hot streak. They were going to be a very tough opponent, but their success against the Bears last season had nothing to do with that at all. You are the only idiot who thought that, for whatever reason.

Sometimes their contract doesn't allow taking the assistants

Donnatel is out of contract - he didn't renew when Fangio did last year.  But I believe if a coach is getting a promotion to HC or DC/OC they most of the time can get out of a contract as a lower level assistant.

We are assuming an NFL team offers Fangio and that Donnatel decides to leave a playoff-caliber team for a losing team under Fangio.   Donatel is actually a year older than Fangio and if he wants to eventually be a HC too - you'd think he'd want a fast track to success rather than dealing with a long term  project.

The SCORE is saying Fangio is Denver's favorite candiate which is why Miami cancelled their interview with him.

There are interesting potential DCs like maybe Bolles.

Robinson had a bears post season receiving record.

Trubisky was 17-20 198 yards in the second half.
