I'd like to go on record and say that I hate this Opening Night crap.

It feels weird.

Neither the Cubs nor the Cardinals are the defending World Series champions and that's who usually opens the season in these showcase games.

Is it just me or does anybody else feel the same way?

Playing a Sunday night game in Chicago in early April is just foolish, whether the first game of the season or not.

Brutal showing by the Cubs.  For the fourth year in a row, they come out of spring training looking like they didn't even go to spring training.
