I'll admit that I still get the online MLB package, but that's a far cry from the ripoff ticket.. If the NFL offered something like that I may do it, but they're too greedy..

Bears4Ever

I'm getting to where you are but not yet there.

Fortunately for me after watching the recording of the GB loss early Friday morning I had to go to bed.   Normally after a loss I'm very irritable towards my family and the dog.   The anger is replaced by general sadness and depression which decreases throughout the week and generally gets replaced by  excitement while I start focusing on the upcoming game.

It's really therapeutic to come here to share my grief and listen to the over reacted opinions that I also had a few hours after the game.

Should I be laying on a couch while I say all this?

That describes me exactly after a Bears loss!

Dallas:

You'll get there for sure :D

I lived for years with a hole in my basement paneling where I punched it after one of the (many) Wanny disaster games back before I moved to where I am now. I kept it there as a monument of my own stupidity and a reminder of how to not to act.

Age is sometimes wisdom (or maybe acceptance ?). But 'm too cynical to believe in any overall plan of any sort. Of course it may also have to do that I drink a whole lot less (although still a bit during the season). At least my liver thanks me :D

And this place is therapy (of a sort :D). I've been a member since the switch over from the Trib board days. I don't post much but when I do it is cathartic. I appreciate you guys and your fandom. Us crazies gotta stick together :D

Go Bears !

It's nice to have when you don't live in the chicago area.
I'll see other Bear fans in public but the 30 something s rarely want to slow down what they're doing and have a conversation.

Your asking that in game 1?

I'm asking that after more than 2 seasons.

I get angry during the game and a day or two after, then it's 'yep, this is the @%$#$ Bears, here we go again' attitude. We've seen it so often over the last three or so decades we all should be used to it. My wife avoids me for the rest of the day because I'm hot, and then it's back to business as usual. I'm MUCH MUCH more animated after a loss to the Pack then I am with any other team. A game that's winnable should be won-period. To lose with inept offensive play time and again is pathetic. Tru either needs to get it figured out or we'll once again be on the hunt for the incredibly elusive franchise QB.

The thing that drives me absolutely insane is when the refs decide the outcome of the game, usually with the Pack.  This time not so much so it didnt bug me too much.  BUT.... Nagys decision to not run the ball, that kind of hurt.

Funny to hear Al Michaels mention something about Rodgers' special treatment by the refs - and Collinsworth saying something like "oh, we can't say that..."

Then Nick Foles gets 2 big bodies pummel him with their full weight and no flag?

Aaron Rodgers doesn’t get special treatment. He just knows how to beat the Bears.

All the superstar QBs get special treatment by the refs at times. They are the cash cow for the NFL. I didn’t notice Rodgers getting any special treatment during the Bears game. The Bears O just sucked and the play calling was atrocious. If I remember correctly Allen Robinson bailed Mitch out 2-3 times on great catches with the DB in his face or it could have looked worse.

I agree Rodgers didn't benefit from any special treatment from the ref.

That's kind of been my point about Trubisky.  He often times forced to make contested throws because the DBs were playing our wideouts tight.  Not too many throws to guys with cushions.

Everybody on offense sucked.  Nagy got outcoached and couldn't make halftime adjustments.  Trubisky lost his cool.   The O-line couldn't handle a non-vanailla pass rush.   Receivers got little separation.  Running backs, weren't given many chances, but no one ripped off a 10 yard run.  TEs...do we have TEs?

I have real concerns about Trubisky, but after rewatching parts of the game I see he was under pressure most plays and you can see he was trying to balance scanning the field with getting rid of the ball in time.
With the Packers using 6 DB's it's got to be pretty difficult to decide if a receiver is open or if you are missing a DB in decision making.
On a large number of plays he was looking and looking with the time he had not wanting to make a bad decision but having difficulty accounting for all the defenders.

Last year in those situations, (and in my understanding how you would counter a 6 DB defense), they would run Jordan Howard to move the chains until the defense made changes to stop the run, which then opened up pass opportunities.

The fact they had little run success made the situation worse.  For some reason Cohen had no carries.

Tru needs a good game Sunday no doubt.  Callahan has been out awhile with a bad foot and Fangio just said "maybe" when asked if he would play Sunday.  His replacement was taken advantage of.  I don't think Denver's defense is what it was 2-3 years ago.  Raiders threw short quick passes to tight ends to move the chains.  Most of their completions were under 10 yards to negate the pass rush.
