Go back to the old days where they hand out paychecks after the game

I think the first remidial firing should be Hiestand. He has done a very poor job IMHO.

Pace and Nagy certainly need to examine and I'm sure they will.

Listening this season to talk on the subject of the OL from Tom Thayer, Olin Kreutz and Rich Campbell the type of linemen the Bears have put together are not drive blockers.  They're more scheme blockers who can  move their feet which is why they hired Heistand in the first place.
I haven't heard any of these guys or other media explain why it isn't working if the coach was hired to fit the personnel.

Either way they need to fix it

I have no problem with losing Hiestand, but he was highly regarded at ND, and Kruetz raves about him.  But somewhere there is a major disconnect with the OL and the plays that are called/executed.

The Oline looks like those little football guys on the old-school vibrating football game (remember them ?). Spinning in circles and running into their out guys. :)

There is no reason to be THAT bad... Its got to be a perfect storm of wrong players and wrong coaching...

I've said the exact same thing, they look like the players from the vibrating football game-set them and they go and block the water boy on the sidelines. They are terrible....

contrary to many, I always thought Leno at LT needed to be upgraded. What shocks me is how bad Daniels is & how consistently he gets man-handled.

Holtz has blocked well as a FB, but on those traps where he pulls & comes all the way across the line to block the opposite side DE he simply gets killed.

I'd really like to see Bars replace Cowart for the last couple of games. Cowart obviously stinks.

Its funny that Daniels was such a highly regarded C prospect when we took him.  What the heck happened?  Not smart enough to call the line plays?  Doesnt know all the plays, he obviously isnt a mauler and gets pushed around a lot.  Is it a poor scheme fit or coaching or what.  Actually the whole OL has looked like crap, so I am at a loss.  And so is our wasted season.

Wasted days and wasted nights...... (old Freddy Fender song) :D

Time to see if this team has checked out for the year or whether they have the heart to try to win a pretty meaningless game. It will be a good indication if they have checked out on Nagy & Co or not...

Well we know Mack has checked out.  I dont see us winning tonight.  I am probably going to tape the second half, no sense staying up to watch unless they are really lighting it up.  And who here thinks Nagy with his "CUTE" trick plays is going to outcoach Ried?  I suppose it could happen, but I dont see it.

Smart move, but speaks volumes:

The Bears downgraded defensive tackle Akiem Hicks to out for Sunday’s game against Kansas City.

Hicks had a full week of practice, and the Bears had listed him as questionable Friday.

The team activated him from injured reserve before Week 15, and he played 36 of 59 snaps against the Packers.

Hicks went on injured reserve in Week Five with an elbow injury.

The Bears already had ruled out receiver Taylor Gabriel (concussion) and right tackle Bobby Massie (ankle).

Early Nagy was saying 'we're all going' meaning we're all playing. Someone with some brains decided otherwise and Hicks will sit....

I think KC will show us what we could have had had they drafted right. Isn't going to be pretty, KC 42 Bears 20
