The D was unreal today while missing several key starters.  That bodes well for the future.

The O did fairly well under a top 3 defense under Daniel.

We should beat the Raiders and be 4-1 going into the bye.

Kudos to Nick Kwiatkowski & Nick Williams. Both played like All-Pros.

I just hope they can get away from passes to the line of scrimmage on 3rd downs

Kwitkofskit played well today. He does well going toward the LOS vs chasing receivers.

Another thing to think about is the game next Sunday is in London, not USA, but of course you all knew that. That makes a difference in practice and preparation. Things will happen quickly, especially with the injuries.

All you need to see what Mack provides to this defense can be seen on the lone TD drive they gave up. Mack was out (at least for the 3rd and short at the goal line).

Without him they are good. With him they are GREAT. Wonderful feeling seeing that. Too many stupid penalties though (WTF up with Jackson canceling out a good D play with a dumbass penalty ?).

Competent offense is all this team needs for most games. It still feels too scatter-brained. Good to see Wims get some looks (and Robinson is a true #!).

Give some props to Special Teams as well. Good kickoffs, punting, coverage and Eddie Money made all his kicks.

Good win. Sucks that Trubs got hurt. This team cannot seem to get and keep QBs. Some kind of curse for sure....

Go Bears !

Most excellent D performance.  I thought for sure the second I heard Roquan was out this was a loss.  Kwaitkowski had a super game, although he wasnt really called into coverage too much, a good thing.  And Goldman started, but did he get hurt or were they resting him later in the game?  And put me down for thinking Daniel looked much more accurate with his pass placement.

The Bears deactivated linebacker Roquan Smith for Sunday’s game against the Vikings and it’s unclear whether he will return to action in Week Five.

Personal matters were cited as the reason why Smith did not play and head coach Matt Nagy did not elaborate on Smith’s situation after the 16-6 victory. During a Monday appearance on WBBM Newsradio, the coach did not say whether Smith will travel to London with the team to face the Raiders.

“We’ll see,” Nagy said. “We’re still working through all that. We’ll see where that goes.”

Linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski took Smith’s spot in the lineup and posted nine tackles, a sack, two tackles for a loss and a forced fumble.

“I’m proud of the way he stepped up,” linebacker Danny Trevathan said, via 670 The Score. “When he came in, I knew there was going to be no letdown, no letup.”

The Bears may be counting on Kwiatkoski again this week.
